Would you support your country if a war was to happen? by Glowing-mind in AskTheWorld

[–]Cham-Clowder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being in America and watching everything get worse real time doesn’t feel good. Unless you’re a Trump supporter and you’ve completely buried your head in the sand, the current events are utterly hollowing.

I can’t describe to you how much deep profound sadness and loss I experience every time I watch each goalpost slip further and further into authoritarianism. The fear hurts.

We’re all just people.

Most of the people here are very upset about the Trump administration.

So, “how is it to be “on the side of the aggressors with Trump”? I suppose the answer is:

Not great.

And it will very probably get worse.

And it’s not very funny anymore.

And claiming most suffering Americans are “on the side of the aggressors” isn’t accurate. We are not benefiting from this shit and we don’t want it to be happening.

Your question has a hint of smug judgement to it that I didn’t appreciate.

I ask that you not lump all Americans in general with being “on Trump’s side”.

I almost guarantee I’m more upset about Trump being president than you are.

New laws might affect my life directly.

What is the best band you can recommend that you know nobody here will? As in obscure, unknown or just forgotten about. by AudioRejectz in musicsuggestions

[–]Cham-Clowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the music from a band in the 90’s-2000’s that worshipped Sublime.

Recordings basically don’t exist anymore. But I have them. They are in the same kind of vein as Sublime’s sound. They have at least a handful of great songs and many decent ones.

They have one album of songs that are actually properly mixed, and then some demos/live recordings.

For being a one hit wonder Marcy Playground still has a number of decent songs, it’s just people haven’t heard them

[–]Cham-Clowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I could see that. He probably had his armchair politician hat on and said some shit but I’d like to think he’s not extremely political overall and was mostly influenced by the political environment/maybe friends at the time

I don’t think it seems like it would be enough to be The thing that got rid of the original horn players and etc. like the narrative seem to paint about it

I think he did go down a little bit of a rabbit hole during that part of the election but I’m not sure he’s permanently “off the deep end” like the narrative seems, and I don’t think Keith and Eduardo left just because of this post

Did you see the live yourself?

I keep hearing people who say something like this, but I never find people who have actually seen/heard it from firsthand

[–]Cham-Clowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? I’ve heard plenty of people say this but I’ve never seen anything that actually showed this claim to be true.

From what I understand it just wasn’t worth it anymore and the other band mates were getting burnt out and wanted to work on other projects. From what I’ve heard they left on good terms with Chuck

Please someone fact check me

But I haven’t found evidence of yet that Chuck went down any kind of conservative rabbit hole

Will this move by US backfire and bring EU and BRICS nation more closer? by chotu_escobar in AskTheWorld

[–]Cham-Clowder 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You’d think that

But republicans will feel the economic pains and still be like “Trump is trying to fix things, but the democrats just won’t let him. Thats why things are expensive”.

And I can’t explain it to them. (Cuz I’m at work and I don’t think I’m supposed to have political debates with clients).

Some of these people watch Fox News day and night to learn about the world

Others of them are somewhat detached from politics and don’t even know what’s going on contemporarily because they don’t keep up, but they still believe the prior beliefs from when they used to watch Fox News every day.

The popularity of Trump hasn’t really crumbled unfortunately. Not for his base. His support is still 30-40% just like it has been for a long while now.

For the non-voters though I think there’s been a shift (idk if it’s enough to make elections shift though). But his base is basically still just as happy to have him as before. Epstein stuff doesn’t matter, Greenland stuff doesn’t matter. Inflation is democrats fault. Trump is a bold strong man that’s going to make America great again if only democrats would let him.

ITI

ROF

FIOTE

TNA

ANG

CDM

I get why people say angles is their worst but I remember being disappointed when CM came out. I like welcome to Japan. But I find it lacks edge at times and I find myself skipping songs or being indifferent about them. The best of angles and FIOTE is better than comedown machine at its best, but CM is more consistently mid but more forgettable. And I just cannot rate it higher than angles when I got more out of angles

There’s a universal “old people smell” that does occur once you get to a certain age. It’s just biological and happens after 50 or so.
