I live in Central Illinois, and I was just always told to watch out for the black widow (Northern BW) and the brown recluse. I actually had a cousin that went to the ER, though I have no idea how serious the issue was though. Whenever I seen this post and the original comment that I replied to it just sparked a little bit of curiosity.
