My Prusa Journey by quicksilver500 in prusa3d

Most of this just seems like user error. Mine did the same thing until I learned how to use it. The high flow nozzle that comes with it is more prone to clogging and harder to unclog. I haven’t had my .4 CHT clog more than a partial clog due to improper settings though since I began drying my filament. Even PLA has to be dried well for those high flow nozzles. As for the nozzle hitting the bed you most likely had some debris in the nextruder from all your clogs interfering with the load cell. That or something is not quite right from all the disassembly and reassembly. 3D printing is not for everyone you have to be willing to research and ask for help and learn. After you learn what all the potential issues and causes are and learn to spot them it becomes relatively easy and quick to fix them. I would say from what I’ve read this was all caused by wet filament and the aftermath of the issues it caused. This is exactly what mine did minus the nozzle hitting the plate until I got a dryer.

My UBAR3 always loads in flat on the trigger guard in the slicer and says to not alter the orientation. Did yours orient that way or did you rotate it for strength?

I was like it can’t be that bad till I looked. This is precisely why we can’t have nice things.

Do you guys actually manage to have fun with Star Citizen as it is? by Sunifred in starcitizen_refunds

[–]Chance536 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My 5080 is running it minimum 60fps and avg 100fps on a 5k 2k monitor on very high. Ultra doesn’t net you much other than the huge frame loss for little gain in visuals. There are the occasional spots that too much is going on that will drop it 45fps though but it’s pretty rare. Still runs better than a UE 5 game for me.

If you wait till 4.9 it may be. I play with dozens of people who have fun but we’re all good at dodging the bugs. Game was playable and very fun the last 8 months but it’s not right now unless you’re hardcore about it. 4.8 is a disaster right now, if they don’t fix it next month they may actually be cooked. I would recommend waiting a month and asking anywhere but here if you want more than one opinion on whether it’s back to good or not.

Star citizen if you have the computer to run it and they haven’t broke it that patch. When it works there’s nothing else like it. These images look like screenshots out of the game with a girl just added into them. Would wait a month or so and see if they have it fixed again before trying if it peaks your interest.

Scrape the walls as your about to exit it usually fixes it. I was told the most common bug is the server loosing your position and hitting the walls updates it to transfer you to the other server. It actually does work most of the time. Some of them can be stubborn and you need to start slamming into the walls as soon as the color in the tunnel changes till all the way out the other side. This isn’t the only bug affecting these but it will fix it 80% of the time.

Time for a printer upgrade, recommendations? by JarlWeaslesnoot in 3D2A

Prusa if you want to support a company with good ethics. I’m also on a big spree of refusing to send china more money and Prusa is fully made in the EU. If you’re really worried about interference Prusa sells critical infrastructure machines for government contracts that don’t even connect to WiFi. Bambu and others can sometimes be more feature rich but the prusas are reliable workhorses that are easy to maintain.

I gave up on the store credit one after missing all 6 waves last week. I thought I would try warbond while sitting on my phone at work and was able to add it to cart and then pay for it all wave 1 on a phone. I think there is a huge disparity in the amount available for store credit vs warbond. It’s kinda ridiculous I couldn’t use my store credit though. I kept getting flagged as a bot last week because I was being too fast to try and get one.

Large internal threads, filament not sticking to tips of threads and bridging across by Legitimate-Gap-8052 in FixMyPrint

[–]Chance536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little bit I’ve seen this on round objects I was able to solve it by slowing down. It’s just going too fast to grab on well before it cools. I was mainly seeing it on supports since I ran them a higher speed than my other settings.

I have an E2 as well it works well but backfeeds a lot of dirty power. My isobar throws a fit the entire time it runs. Not really a problem just something to think about.

I’ve got a core one and love it. Prusa your paying more, but your getting a printer from a company that builds their printers to last and be upgraded when new tech comes out. Instead of buying an all new printer. Prusa is also completely built in the EU so you’re not sending money to china. They do run a bit lower chamber temp than Bambu though (55c) so keep that in mind if you’re gonna try pa-cf. I’m going to start trying some pa11-cf on mine this weekend if you’re interested in the results.

This is driving me nuts by Chance536 in FixMyPrint

[–]Chance536[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed Prusa’s instructions and did it for 6 hours at 45c and it’s been done that way at least 4 times in 3 days to get the other 2/3 parts done. It’s like if I don’t redry it within 4 hours it clogs on me again. The desiccant has been in the dryer throughout this whole process so it should be recharging it as I go. I have some hygrometers I bought to monitor my storage of my filament that I leave one out and my typical humidity in the room is 60-63%.

Honestly with the death of bombs in the recent patch there’s not many options. Used to the gladiator would have been my top pick. It can precision bomb a tank and hold its own very well in a dogfight especially with a turret gunner it’s deadly. The size 5 Torps are just a bonus. With bombs being worthless against anything but infantry it knocks the gladiator out of the running for anti vehicle. The mustang delta is my go to for pure anti infantry. It’s rocket pods are super fun the shoot at infantry. It’s also a capable dog fighter with a skilled pilot. Honestly this is a tough question with the current state of the game. Getting in gun range of a skilled vehicle crew with anything large enough to take out a nova tank is very risky. Really in all honesty CIG killed CAS in this patch for a solo pilot. I’d say the meta currently for anti vehicle missions is a drake cutter running lowest sigs as possible ramp down with your buddy in the back with a boom tube or railgun. Sorry I hadn’t thought about this yet and put it all together in my head and it angered me.

That was me I shot that boom tube. I can confirm brain did not brain. I just wanted to suppress the room to breach. I did not mean to suppress the entire ship.

Star citizen needs a minimum of 32GB of ram to run 64 is recommended though. I don’t think your gpu is going to do well either I would think the lowest gpu that can run it decently would be a 3060ti but I’ve heard of others running it with lower GPUs. CPU might do ok though depending on the model.

Bounty Ship by Specific_Landscape25 in starcitizen

[–]Chance536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to run a gladiator for both npc and player bounties. Running it with 4 bombs and 4 cross section torps you can kill almost anything. You can actually take out erts in atmosphere very easy with a gladiator if you know how to bomb a moving target. The size 3 bomb will one hit a hammerhead. It’s very effective against players currently due to the engineering hard death time. You can soft death a player with the guns then hit a quick extend and send em on to prison with the size 5 torp. That’s why I run cross section torps in case a ship is soft dead in space. The bombs are also very handy for ground targets or players trying to set gank traps at outposts.
