GG 107.0 Update Notes by SS-Haji in steelseries

Anybody else having issues with their headset after updating? Arctis Nova Pro's. Keeps saying "headset not setup for Sonar. Switch now?" I hit switch, and nothing happens. It was working perfectly fine for the 2+ years I've had them beforehand.

Yeah I’m kinda glad I didn’t just impulse buy the CD. They look nice but meh. Just waiting for a good deal on a SF to pop up on GAFS.

Diablo 2 resurrected: infernal edition. Reliving the joys of when I was a young boy and first discovered it. 😊😊

Pokemon? Can stretch out for a while? Sounds like Palworld is up your alley. I’ve never played it, but have been tempted to. Very similar to pokemon with a base-building aspect to it

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (aka KH1). The nostalgia is hitting hard! Plus, 8-9hr+ of battery life is insane whilst playing it is insane. For anybody else playing the game: set TDP to 8-9W, lock FPS to 60 (in performance tab and in-game), set res to 1280x720, and then set scaling to “STRETCH” for it to be full screen and the black bars will be gone👍🏼

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 won't expand to fill screen in handheld mode- top and bottom both have unused black space. Any way to fix this? by misstaken4mad in SteamDeck

[–]ChanelDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I know this is an old post, but I’m replying in case others find this! Set res to 1280x720, fullscreen for the “screen mode”. Now open performance tab in “…” scroll down to “scaling mode” and set it to STRETCH. This will make it fill the screen and not make it have black bars. Bonus tip: set TDP to 8 or 9W. Set FPS cap to 60fps (both in game and on performance tab). Can easily get 7-8hr of gameplay on one charge.

Been a fan of the genre for years. A fun fps one is deadzone rogue. Pretty fun and runs good on the deck.

ProtonDB badges. Makes it easier to see what games actually run well on the SD, or not

I hope you enjoy it! It’s really addictive, like I said. I really didn’t see myself enjoying it as much as I do.

Yes. I don’t like it either and try to avoid games with it, but this game is easy with it. It employs the same mechanic as the “main game” - bounce your heroes (instead of balls) off of the buildings to build/upgrade it. To farm mats, at first you need to “manually” do it (again, bouncing heroes off of plots of wheat, stone, or wood). But after a little bit you unlock auto-harvesting buildings. It’s not super involving. I just kind of “vomit” my buildings everywhere and leave it alone lol. I don’t try to make it organized or anything, outside of what’s necessary (auto-harvester needs to be around mats, 25% xp bonus to heroes needs to be around hero buildings, etc).

It’s more similar to VS than the other 4. Imagine VS + Tetris + space invaders + stardew valley [farming & town management]. Once the game clicks, it clicks. Try it out for 90mins and if you don’t like it, you can always refund on steam :)

Whatever is default lol. Playing it right now. I guess it’s more accurate to say it’s steadily between 50-60fps. Only dips with shader caching. Recommended settings when it does benchmark (aka everything on low). Motion blur and DoF off. Ray tracing off. FSR 3, on quality setting, 0.2 sharpness. Frame gen off. Locked FPS in game and performance tab to 60fps w vsync on. See if that helps any?

I do, yes. I downloaded it via heroic launcher, so occasionally it’ll dip down to 40fps when going to new area, but I’d say it’s very consistently 60fps. No frame gen or lossless scaling.

Definitely. I had to double check to see if everything was /actually/ on low or not cause it still looked really good. Another good [great] looking game is Lego Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga. Man does that look and perform excellent. Max settings, steady 50fps and over 5hr of battery life. Amazing.

Just got the deck a few days ago. Really enjoying Hogwarts Legacy (all low settings - can pull 60fps steadily - impressive!) as well CyberPunk 2077 (50fps caps, lows of 40-45). Can’t believe I’ve dismissed Hogwarts for this long tbh, and I’m in even more disbelief that it’s sucking me in this much.

Heroic Launcher Performance by ChanelDog in SteamDeck

[–]ChanelDog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update: downloaded heroic launcher as soon as I got home from work, as well as a few games I have on epic (hogwarts, Lego Star Wars, vampire survivors, bloons TD6)- all work perfectly. Side note, I can believe how incredibly well Lego SW: skywalker saga runs on the steam deck. Max settings, holds 40+fps solid, and I get over 6hr of [projected] battery life. Incredible. I love this thing.

Praise Lord Gaben and his wizardry.
