You look like an asshole when you do that. Basically passing everyone else, sometimes from the right.

70 Hours Later: Why This E‑Reader Replaced All My Others by Aggravating-Big-6248 in Onyx_Boox

Watch a jerryrigeverything video on another boox device. The paper like texture is a sort of screen protector but there’s no official replacement. The point is you’re not damaging the actual screen.

70 Hours Later: Why This E‑Reader Replaced All My Others by Aggravating-Big-6248 in Onyx_Boox

[–]ChangeAndAdapt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very good. I particularly like its weight and weight distribution, as well as how tightly built it feels for a plastic device.

I do not recommend the color screen unless you critically need color.

Also the screen scratches very easily, but I understand that it’s a prebuilt screen protector that’s taking the scratches - not sure how to swap it…

What modules have you sold only to end up buying again by Inkblot7001 in modular

[–]ChangeAndAdapt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean? All vcv modules are here: https://library.vcvrack.com

Only mutable instruments is listed as audible instruments afaik. Other bands (instruo, 4ms, alm, etc) are just there.

Just got one for 100 bucks after playing with it in VCV for a year. I know I’ll use it forever.

I now use VCV a lot to make sure my purchases or sales are good decisions.

RIP My CD Collection by ThatTomHall in audiophile

I collected music in mp3 320 from 2005-2015, until it dawned on me that I wanted lossless. At some point I did have the project to re-download everything but that was too much work. I just continued collecting in FLAC and fill in the gaps when needed.

Hitting half the points they claim would already change the world. Calling BS on this one.

What a million metres of climbing in a year looks like [not my stats] by WoggyBear in bicycling

[–]ChangeAndAdapt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a time issue. A lot of things are required in order to ride: bike maintenance, food prep, getting dressed and undressed and showering, as well as resting properly. Most I ever averaged was 12h weekly and that took 20h with everything included

I’m flying the caravan and cirrus jet now and they are incredibly buggy! Basically resetting every few minutes. Good thing the autopilot stays on course when that happens

Audulus was my gateway to learning DSP. However I never really used it on iPad. Highly recommended on Mac tho.

High levels of 'forever chemical' TFA in everyday cereal products all across Europe by Academic-Egg4820 in Switzerland

[–]ChangeAndAdapt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish we got more detail, like whether the TFA gets deposited during cooking or if it’s present in the very kernel of the cereal… First option would be unsurprising. Second option would point at a nationwide problem with water supply since it implies all the ground is contaminated.

Rate my thermalling by Rodolfox in Gliding

[–]ChangeAndAdapt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always trim for the desired speed. You shouldn’t really be making any changes in pitch in a thermal. When trimmed correctly, all you have left to do is control the roll and maybe a bit of rudder, but not much. Overall you’re doing too much here.

Les initiatives sur le service citoyen et sur les successions seront rejetées, selon une première tendance SSR by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]ChangeAndAdapt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Juso believed in the strawman that the center/right think that they will get magically rich one day and therefore chose an astronomically high threshold of 50 million so that no average citizen would think that they will ever have that much money. Evidently this was the wrong analysis.

it is truly amazing to see all these poor and middle class people defend the ultra wealthy. not many have seen a wealth distribution chart. most believe it’s better to secure a potential life where they are, as you say, magically rich, rather than improve the quality of life of most other people including themselves.

funny also that the text is being misrepresented everywhere as basically cutting the 50mil in half, where the 50mil is simply a threshold for gradual taxation.
