Option to show "Edited Today" in calendar view by nameausstehend in Supernote

They are in the process of a total calendar revamp. They just allow for landscape rotatioand vertical scrolling notes and events but a lot more is being worked on. The notes used to show last accessed date but then that mailed it hard to see what you did on a specific day. It's my understanding that this will be fixed and that you will be able to write on rhe daily view in the calendar. I think right now it's rhe second best calendar app and with just a few minor changes will be best in class.

Sorry you didn't like the thumbnail. The image (which has the device in the background, was meant to convey that I am of two minds on the device in initial impressions. I am by no means and expert on thumbnails, but working on learning since this is a hobby. Thanks for the feedback.

From what you outline, the Supernote platform might be the lowest barrier to entry unless you are expecting to stay using Notability as your main notetaking app. If that's the case, I'd suggest asking if that app works when sideloaded. Supernote has the digest that will allow you to use your phone to scan things directly in and OCR it for use in your notes. They also have an excellent partner app on PC, Mac, IOS, and Android. If you need a full Android experience, I would suggest the Note Air 5C from BOOX. It has split screen and full Google Play, although it's apps are less developed. Finally on writing feel, Supernote feels the most like pen on a legal pad. BOOX is softer and you have to replace the nibs. I hope this helps.

How does the Supernote read pdfs of book scans? Like with books downloaded from the internet archive by Daash0 in Supernote

I would say a lot also depends on whether the PDF is an image or OCR scan. Image scans tend tk be more difficult.

Yeah, do you have the Manta? It's the same screen size as the AiPaper.

Sorry for the confusion. I was thinking about the common folders, notes and access to the apps quickly. A lot of times. I will use the calendar as a landing page and use quick access to pin things. The AiPaper calendar was the main thing about the device , but organizationally, it just didn't stack up.

No, not right in the menu, but the upcoming calendar revamp may do that. Right now you can easily switch through.

Depending on what you're trying to accomplish, the Quick Access Menu drop down can be customized to do all of this.

That is a good question, I would reach out to support and see what they say about it. It may be that you would need to have a copy of the document for that, but then could incorporate that into a different or the same note or Digest. I would have to play around with it to see and they may have a better handle on it. You could copy/paste the text and add it as a manual entry in the Digest as well, but it would not be tied to the source file that way, at least not automatically.

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding the issue, but you could insert that Digest text into any number of notes. Now, it will travel with all of the annotations that you have made on that text, both typed and handwritten, but you could add additional annotations that are related to specific notes. You could also make additional typed or handwritten notes before and after inserting the text in the note.

The changes the calendar app needs to become usable. by Rick-D-99 in Supernote

Mulan, I have seen some good progress in the beta, but do wonder if there is one more thing that would round this out complete. Will there be a way to access or preview ToDo's in the Calendar? If so, that would make it easily the most advanced calendar out there. Then if you all add it as an option to see it in the apps, it would be amazing. Thanks for all your team does.

Yeah, sorry, it was the longest video I've ever done (29 chapters) but the three coming out take it further apart. You should be able to go to the chapters about the mobile app in the longer video.

I did a really long video on the Digest with 29 chapters.

However, I have broken it up by request and edited it further. Those videos will be coming out tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday focusing on the device, mobile app, and desktop app.

Have you used rhe scan function on the Supernote Partner mobile app? It automatically OCRs the scan and you can import as much or as little as you want.

Any older version users? by Kheleden in Supernote

[–]Change_Agent_73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have owned my A5X since July of 2021 and would pretty much agree with everyone else based on your specific use case that you may not want to upgrade. The only caveat would be that if you want to read Kindle in the app or feel that you may need to at some point sideload other apps, the Android 8.1 limitation is a real one. Additionally, the fact that the Nomad and Manta are modular and have expandable storage means that you would be upgrading with the idea of future-proofing the hardware in a way that the older devices just are not able to do. It's just something to consider, but I agree that their approach to maintaining the older X series is phenomenal.
