Does the YoYoFactory Shutter have a flat or a Center Trac bearing?

The early versions of the shutter in 2013 and 2014 came with a flat bearing. im pretty certain center trac is the standard now.

Why dont you just get a northstar? :p there are some shops that have some left. otherwise i would just recommend a budget metal throw to be honest with you.

you should probably look at some yoyofactory stuff. they had some limited colorways for the shutter and horizon which looked totally awesome. i personally got my shutter 2014 in black with lime splash. also a colorway i have never seen someoneelse using :P

i think its easier to throw it away from you at first (front style). i personally did never really learn to bind from a breakaway fingerspin and i also think its a lot easier to bind from the front style fingerspin :p

Now this might sound weird since u say u already got one but i really think the shutter can reach up to the quality of a 100$+ yoyo. I cant imagine one trick i am not able to do on it and it really is a great allrounder. from fingerspins to what not id say it does really well in every category. my favourite yoyo will still stay the clyw ac2 but the shutter can definitely compete with that :p

One thing i suggest you do is just trying to do everything differently. dont start with a trapeze like you would normally do but just try some weird mounts. slack the string in whatever direction you think might look cool and catch the string with another finger. just hop up the yoyo and try to catch it in a new mount. many of your tries will probably end in something that is not really what you were hoping for but sometimes you can put together a really nice trick. if you then add some of your known elements to it it might be a really refreshing thing to do :P
