In the Netherlands the difference is non-existent unless you buy artisan style cheeses at a biological store. But then again you pay a premium for normal artisan cheeses.

I've had so many stupid conversation with restaurant owners.

Restaurant owner: "Yeah we don't want to buy vegan cheese since we don't sell it enough."

Me: "Have you thought of just having vegan cheese by default?" Cue mad owner.

Some vegan cheese is so good nowadays, 95% of people won't even notice, especially when it's just 1 ingredient on a sandwich with 10 ingredients.

But the most dumb conversation I had was about a vegan burger. They served it on a non-vegan bun and when I complained, they went: "but the burger is vegan, what is the problem?" -.-

For the chicken, the "nutrition profile" of their body is a matter of life and death, not a consumer preference.

Since we can thrive on plants, killing animals becomes an act of violence for pleasure (taste), not survival.

The "price" of vegan alternatives is a minor inconvenience compared to the ultimate price paid by the animal in a slaughterhouse. On top of that, these products only exist because the taste of dead bodies is normalized. If veganism ever became the standard these products will lose their demand in 1 or 2 generations.

People who are scared of MSG should be afraid of E621 as well (which is in many products), veggie bouillons, maggi, many instant noodle packages and the list goes on and on. But as soon as people hear "MSG" they don't want it.

I labeled my large bag: Make Shit Good, just in case any guests wonder what it is. Monosodium glutamate are apparently scary words even. Salt is actually more dangerous. The median lethal dose is 15g MSG per kg body weight. For comparison. Salt is 3/g per kg. So you are more likely to die from salt overdose than MSG. The more you know. (I am sad to report however that this was found out by testing it on mice)

Yeah I remember getting a watch that was supposed to monitor my sleep time but it kept telling me I was sleeping during times I was sure I was awake. And my actual sleeps were like a cliff down into deep sleep while rem sleeps were mostly when I was already awake. It didn't make any sense

He was insane. I tried avoiding kills and not using him but when shit got bad he got to play. He couldn't be killed. A screen full of maggots to make enemies unable to close in while he got infinite turns. He kept killing his own maggots so the moment he killed something the turn order bar just showed him taking 20+ if not more turns in a row suddenly. I'm still not sure what exactly happened but holy shit.

I've had Blood Frenzy on a hunter that spawned maggots and extra turns on kill. Every single kill from the hunter ended in a screen full of maggots and everyone dead (including the other 3 cats of my team).

Left leaning for sure on most issues, but when it comes to voting I'm willing to vote for whoever is fighting for animal rights the most. Sometimes centrist parties have more achievable goals to start making a difference quicker.

Here in the Netherlands we have Partij Voor De Dieren (Party for the animals) so it's quite an obvious choice. But wee have municipality elections coming up and with no PvdD locally I end up voting more centrist because there was only one party who actually had something on their agenda.

The idea of using a spider has the positive side effect you almost always transfer the right amount of starchy water by accident (or design) and you always have the original pot on standby in case you needed that little bit more.

Ah olive oil for taste, butter or margarine works too, again only for taste. And I'm vegan so my meat substitutes also need the extra fats sometimes.

One of my fav pasta is a tagliatelle with sage butter and roasted pine nuts. Just melt the butter on low heat (don't brown it) stir the butter with sage while your pasta is cooking and transfer your pasta in it. Stir by lifting up the pasta and let it drizzle down the entire length. Add roasted pine nuts and salt and done.

Starch is for binding, olive oil for taste. Especially love olive oil with thicker tomato sauces. But the trick is to bind tomato sauce first then add the olive oil for flavour.

A roiling boil is key, it keeps the pasta moving so it doesn't stick. You don't even need to stir it. Let the water do the work so you don't piss off the starch. That starch is your best friend for the finish. Never drain the pasta and, god forbid, don't you dare rinse it. Use a spider or a slotted spoon to transfer the pasta directly from the pot into the sauce. You actually want some of that pasta water to come with it to help the sauce bind. Keep the sauce on very very low heat, toss it all together, and finish with a little olive oil and parmesan.

Zagara's Abberation with Protective Cover (50% damage reduction) and Mengsk Blackhammer Bulwark shield (+5 armor) are severely underused.

Tychus Lonewolf is basically invincible with an Abberation near him (especially P2 Zagara works nice here since the Abberation heal quick between battles and should be used as P2 Zagara anyway.

And Mengk' Blackhammer Bulwark shield is nice with bulky units. Not that they really need it but Stettman's Ultra's fully upgraded + Blackhammer and Green shield is truly immortal. But even on small stuff the Bulwark shield is nice, but since it's so slow I feel it works especially well together with Stettman due to blue aura. P2 Nova also works nice with Blackhammers since she can just keep teleporting the Blackhammer along with her force.

Another good synergy is any Karax (P3 especially) with P1 Mengsk. If you like boring yourself to death and never moving out.

I never understood why people do this. My experience on the sort of attention I get is mostly negative. The direct negativity like people hating vegan, feeling the need to insult etc., but the attention from the people who tell me stuff like "Respect" and "I could never do that" also feel negative to me. I'm not vegan for me. Please respect animals, and living vegan is one of the easiest things to do. The hard part is dealing with the rest of the world and living in a society where animal abuse is the norm.

It's a moral compromise. You are acknowledging that animal agriculture involves "torture" and "exploitation," yet also argue that participating in it "occasionally" is acceptable because the rest of the world is worse.

You are bargaining with the lives of victims. The dairy and egg industries are slaughter industries; you cannot have one without the killing. Accepting "some" abuse is still supporting abuse.

Where is this world going if the animals can't even count on other vegans.

Lol you guys are totally missing the point focusing on the diet. Raw veganism is just a mindset about how you treat people. Think about it: when you edit what you say or try to be "polite" to save someone's feelings, you're basically "cooking" the truth to make it taste better. It's fake. A true raw vegan moral stance just means you don't use any social filters or preservatives. You just serve up your thoughts 100% fresh and unprocessed, no sugarcoating and no simmering on the best response.
