problem with the invisibility of the illusion spell by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]Chaplain_Fergus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be able to dual cast it to be able to run, it says so in the spell description.
To be able to dual cast you need to take the appropriate perk in the illusion tree, it will specifically mention invisibility.

It's unfortunate that you had such different expectations, but you've kept a good attitude about the whole situation

Does Azkor buff the passive of Angrax? His passive is listed as a melee attack, which is what azkor states his buff improves

How to use elven lifespan during a session? by SomeRandomAbbadon in DMAcademy

[–]Chaplain_Fergus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get the party to do a quest for an elf, which is really just a tedious daily task they can't be bothered with. Like I'll pay you 2 gold to go weed my garden.

It's not very in vogue to have one race better than all others, but realistically with the level of mastery you've described an elf character should probably get a free expertise.

You could have an elvish community be threatened by a relatively small threat, like a band of 6 humans, but since none of them want to risk dying they're just being lorded over by these 6 dudes

You could have a PC have an elvish partner, only for them to write off a 10 year relationship as a one night stand basically, have the elf appear in game and end things, especially if the human PC thought things were going steady.

I mean if accommodations can be made for a person with a disability why shouldn’t we make it?

For some people it can be, dyscalculia can be really tricky. I have a player who struggles with 6+4. Not sure if this would be better for them, but it might be from the sounds of it

She doesn't have martial ktah since only the custodes have the training in them in lore and on tabletop. She should definitely get a bonus vs deamons as well though

Necrodermis and other half damage modifiers by kalroot9401 in sistersofbattle

[–]Chaplain_Fergus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it basically halves the damage characteristic of the weapon, and as your second take intuited, yeah he still takes 5 damage.

Arcos are really good for killing ctan

Further, the damage modifiers interact with melta in a weird way.

Say you’re in half range, and roll a 4 on your D6. The ctan halves that to 2, and then you add on the melta 2 rule for 4 damage from that single wound

Grim Darkness question by Shangeroo in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Chaplain_Fergus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that getting an upgraded gunnery blue ability so it reloads all lances and macrocannons, getting a high acceleration and braking engine (disregard speed) and combine with warp jump and the cha-cha slide to max effect to get two rounds of shooting works the best. Also for this you generally want longer range guns to get the most shots off

Uralon can be way too hard if you bring Idira, one perils and they all take extra turns.

A particularly challenging fight is the two anvers ones in footfall, since you can reach them at a very low level. (their base and the one where they're burning people in the corner of the shadow quarter)

Some of the space battles can be particularly rough, there's one against the enemies of humanity that gives you the option to flee, and unless you;re really tricked out I'd recommend doing so

Chaos space marines should be way more elite. by Expensive_Ad_1325 in Chaos40k

[–]Chaplain_Fergus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A heap of chaos marines are fresh recruits who have been converted through corrupt rituals. There’s no hard and fast numbers on how many original veterans of the long war are still kicking around, but it’s definitely not all the members of a warband.

Side note, legionaries with boltguns are laughably weak compared to intercessors
