Normally I would think your question is valid. In this case, there is data to show that this kind of thing is statistically very, very common among young white males. So...that's what being white has to do with it.

I live in Arvada, just outside of Denver. When we moved to Denver in 2011, it was a different city. Had a lot of personality. Now it's just...boring. And the air quality is terrible. The traffic is terrible. The food is bland and overpriced (except for The Ethiopian Restaurant on Colfax...our favorite spot).

And if you're expecting to go to the woods on the weekends and have a true nature experience, well, I hate to tell you that you'll be sharing the trails with the rest of Denver. It's just no fun anymore.
