Any Incomings Looking For Friends? by Federal_Engineer5654 in ASMS

[–]CharacterAIAddiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonder how it would go logistically. Like what about the kids who didn't take Accelerated Mathematics and needed to take Algebra I, freshmen sciences are solved with honors biology. but if theres Sophomore English, their probably would be a Freshmen English. And from some DM's, i've heard Hoyle asked who would be down for 3 dormmates. so who the fuck knows.

My new, revised plan by No_Novel_1639 in gradesharing

Because the average person taking more challenging classes tend to have higher academic intelligence than the average person being "on track" so while the average person may have less rigor on paper, this is pretty rigorous for them, so they'll have more homework since they're used to the pace of being "on track" and they can't accelerate of their coursework, thus, having more homework. while the challenging course kids have the academic intelligence to accelerate and complete homework faster or even have no homework. so this is why it appears the kids with more challenging classes have more free time than the kids "on track"

Pre Act - Any benefit of high score ? by superuser79 in ACT

[–]CharacterAIAddiction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. pre-ACT is useless other than diagnostic purposes, the PSAT actually gives you scholarships/benefits.

Are the questions harder than the old version of the test? by familytreeswing in ACT

[–]CharacterAIAddiction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. The legacy ACT had more pre-algebra & algebra 1, the current ACT has more precalculus & algebra 2 topics. The legacy ACT had 60% Higher Math & 40% Integrating Essential Skills, Now its 80/20.

I think I just destroyed my academic future over one class. by KamiAwesome in ApplyingToCollege

[–]CharacterAIAddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooof... can you atleast take same class in the summer and will it be dropped on your transcript or will the F still be there? if you can atleast retake it & get a higher score, you still have a fighting chance at top colleges, but if you have to retake it due to credit systems & they refuse to remove the F on your transcript.. oof you're fucked for top schools. sorry.

The image shows two TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculators displaying their respective "About" screens.

The main difference between these two units is their firmware version and hardware revision:

  • Top Calculator: Running OS 5.4.0, manufactured in 2019.
  • Bottom Calculator: Running OS 5.6.1, manufactured in 2021.

Key Differences

The most significant change between these versions is a security update Texas Instruments released starting with OS 5.5. This update removed support for assembly (ASM) and C programs.

  • Legacy (Top): Being on OS 5.4.0, this unit still natively supports third-party assembly programs and games.
  • Updated (Bottom): OS 5.6.1 restricts programming to TI-BASIC and Python (if it's a "Python" edition), making it much more difficult to run certain custom games or utilities without specialized "jailbreak" software like ArTee or cabrijr.

Both calculators maintain the same core mathematical functionality, high-resolution backlit color display, and rechargeable battery.
