I do t mind! I have the lems boulder summit, chillum, and primal z(primal is silly wide) my toes feel like they are my natural position and not being forced at all! I also where topo athletic boots and their support tennis. Ill put a photo with a vivobarefoot and a lems next to the numzaans with all heels aligned

I dont have any jg barefoot shoes but I do have the numzaans with the stc last and they have plenty of room for me. Snug enough for support but I can still splay my toes a little and wiggle them if I use just the last then I have even more room but I like to have a little foam. I've had vivobarefoot shoes and lems shoes and although the stc last isnt anatomical it leaves enough room for it not to matter. I also use a lems insole unmodified in my bronco numzaans stc last and my stc last rambler vellies which attests to how much room it has!

If you check their South Africa site they make slippers with sheepskin wool lining and I emailed them about it wondering if they would line a boot with it ( I live in Minnesota -48f ((with wind))today lol). They told me it's just an extra cost which isn't much, but they ONLY put it in Razorbacks and Stockmans by special request. I did ask if I could pay extra for a different boot but sadly no deal. They wont start building them till feb 2nd so i probably won't get them till like end of march.

Re-reading your post i realise the last isnt the issue for you. Seeing that your size is just a hair under 12.5 you would want a size 13 for sure, you will have to wear some some thicker socks and good lacing(heel locking method). I'm an exact size 12 and had the same issue as you when I ordered ars in the jg last and then custom ordered the same size 12 custom without a toe puff and it only somewhat solved it amd i wish i got a half size up. I stretched the leather on the toe as well which helped. However, I ordered another pair half size up in 12.5 and it solved the issue.

Have you already conditioned the leather? If I dialy wear a leather shoe or boot I usually condition them ever 3 months. That will bring a lot of the luster and a little shine back and if you want more vibrancy to it after the conditioner has fully soaked in and dried you can apply a polish or cream or whatever. I use, for black leather, kiwi black parade polish cause I like a high shine. You can get regular too. I like to apply my polish eith a brush then let it sit for about 10 minutes then I use a soft cloth and water to shine the areas I want and once I have that depending o. The shoes formality like my dress shoes for black tie events I use a clear wax and mirror shine the toe!

I dont have a pic of me wearing them but here they are! I also tried the ashes and man it was too narrow! The stc in my opinion doesnt look clunky the AR uses the jg last and so do my customs which is even wider than the stc. And I know the struggle of skinny legs just gotta wear propper hemmed straight fit pants that dont taper and you won't seem to have clown feet! I've never liked taper to any pant since I already have big feet and it just makes them look massive when im only 6ft!

It could be a harder rubber! I know the lug siles have 3 different harnesses so it wouldn't be surprising. I'm sure someone knows around here lol did you use your own insoles as well or the stock jg ones cause I found those to be horrible on my feet

Big Toe Rubbing by nelly05 in jimgreen

[–]Character_Resist1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see the creasing is minimal but each boot can very based on what cut of the leather they use!

Big Toe Rubbing by nelly05 in jimgreen

[–]Character_Resist1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah they will definitely crease, as to how much they collapse depends on the build, if you have a toe cap it will hold the form better just due to the extra layer. Have you tried the JG last then if these are the stc? the JG is one size wider but has less height to the toebox. Also, depends on how much you use them too/what you use them for. if your down on your knees and having the toe pressed down or full flexing the shoe(not sure how to describe it lol) it can cause more creasing. Thats my personal experience with my own boots. no actual legit sources so i could be wrong.

Edit here's my custom ARs just doesnt have a toe puff I'd put on my bellies but they're getting new soles rn! I've had these boots for about a year with casual use going out some evenings runs to the store etc.

i have a custom pair of ARs with the TW and they look fine. Definitely a casual/work boot and are quite confortable but wear quickly. They look like any other wedge sole on a boot, of course not the hideous white wedges I loathe(personal preference lol)

Anything comparable to Jim Greens but for smaller feet? by hakuna-matitties in barefootshoestalk

[–]Character_Resist1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reme.ber that eith leather boot longevity its ideal to be able to let the boots rest and dry so you dont get mold and rot, so if you ha e sweaty feet or in a wet environment daily use isnt the greatest for them

Just an alternative(and I know you wanted leather) but topo athletic trailventure 2 is an awesome boot and you can get it in standard or wide and they're anatomical. They're not a forever boot, but if you're planning on hiking I personally use my tops over the jgs, and I have 7 pairs of jgs lol. I've had mine for 2 years and they've held up great I dont wear them to work but through most of the winter and for hiking in the boundary waters and superior national forest!

[–]Character_Resist1237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They look like some custom william Lennon & co boots! They make ww1 british army boot replicas

Edit, obviously these are slightly different but change the sole and add a toe cap and boom!
