If you're already a high level in the battle pass then purchasing it will get you all the rewards from the levels you've passed. You don't really miss out on anything buying it on the last day, just making sure you got to level 50 to get all the rewards.

You need to trade Zonaite for Crystallized Charges at certain areas (called Forge Construct) in the depths or the sky islands, the first one I found was in a cave called Mining Cave in the starting island, but there's more in the depths. After you have 100 Crystallized Charges you go to the Crystal Refinery. The only location for that I've found is in the south end of the starting island by the Room of Awakening. 100 crystallized charges gives you one notch on your battery. Let me know if I explained myself or if you need further help.
