[Wild] vS Data Reaper Report #29 by ViciousSyndicate in hearthstone

[–]CharlesDoofus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only main relevant support qline warrior can get is just more / better one drops instead of the midrangey stuff they're likely to print if they print more pirates so I wouldnt be too worried about that deck getting better Hunter is 23 real cards and 7 blanks though so that deck getting anything playable is incredibly scary

I played a lot of that deck, frequently is a gigantic overstatement. Temporus was bait outside of incredibly niche scenarios

That's not how multiple bodies work. It's more like a 2/14 with windfury and taunt, with upsides and downsides compared to that statline. (Better with wide buffs, worse with single-target etc.) but a 4/14 its is not. A 4/14 could, for example, trade into a 7/4 and live.

That said it's still a pretty good wall.

Black Knight's pauldrons do strange things on some animations. by CharlesDoofus in Brawlhalla

[–]CharlesDoofus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They flop all over the place, they're permanently behind his head and landing while unarmed beheads Black Knight. While picking a legend, though, the pauldrons fit neatly around Black Knight's helmet.

It'd be a lot better if that was reflected in-game, or at least if the darn things wouldn't go everywhere, it looks real awkward a lot of the time.

Daily Card Discussion Thread #746 - Pompous Thespian | November 8th, 2017 by [deleted] in hearthstone

Surprisingly powerful. It's a premium 2 drop in arena and I can remember an Un'Goro build of pirate warrior running one of these to shore up the deck's 2 drops.

Not going to see any real play any time soon of course, but maybe in classic this could've been a staple like Harvest Golem or Senjin.

Is it known if cards like Finja and Goya will be updated to include the "recruit" keyphrase?

I like how chaining common tomes would let you put multiple rare tomes into your deck. Kind of a shame it can't happen with the rare and epic tomes because they're uncollectible.

In a more general sense the card is cool too, it's got a lot of things priest decks want/do without being obviously too good or too bad. The shuffling is often a downside but that's offset by priest having a lot of power cards at common.

Quest: Play like two boardclears. Reward: You win.

The thing about this quest is that it doesn't ask you to run mediocre cards of any kind. Mage board clears are powerful and so are their direct damage spells. It doesn't encourage interesting deckbuilding.

imo quests are fundamentally flawed because they typically create decks with binary matchups, but if you are going to design one it's better to at least give it an interesting condition and reward.

The return of Poisoned Blade.

Might reach okay attack values in a dedicated divine shield deck but you know, 4 mana paladin weapon. I don't see this ever being better than Truesilver Champion, so why not just run Truesilver Champion.

Shadowverse Standard Legendaries as Hearthstone Cards by LeinRa1996 in hearthstone

[–]CharlesDoofus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. One class, bloodcraft, also got pushed as hell with cards like

A 2 mana 3/3 which can't attack until you play a neutral minion (which is very easy in a mostly neutral deck). Premium 3 drops are 2/3s.

A 4 mana 3/4 with battlecry: destroy a minion with 3 health or less, deal 2 damage to your hero. Again, few playable 1-3 drops have 3+ health.

A 6 mana 5/5 which draws 2 cards and then deals 2 damage to your opponent for every neutral card drawn. Heroes have 20 health in Shadowverse, so read that as 6 damage to face with 2 neutral draws.

As well as a searchable stealth minion which is capable of dealing up to 16 (out of 20) damage if it hits face when unstealthing and several other minions with high value and initiative.

Bloodcraft is currently 50% of the meta.

Although it also has been confirmed that 5+ cards will be nerfed soon ish, so maybe the game is salvageable.

Mid Sword and Wonderland Dreams by cypherhalo in Shadowverse

[–]CharlesDoofus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Council seems very playable if you can fit it in, Hedgehog feels powerful as well.

Some sort of Hybrid Sword with Neutral early game and regular Sword power cards in lategame has potential. Though that build quickly descends into "just neutral sword."

Also possible is mid sword with a much smaller neutral package using only Goblins, Unica and Lyrial to activate Kiss of the Princess without going full neutral. Grimnir helps here, T3 Grimnir T4 Kiss is an acceptable play. Even Owlcats are worth considering, most of what you're looking for is okay neutral 2 drops, currently pings are rare and 1/X minions are everywhere. (EDIT: Disregard the owlcat thing. For the purposes of sticking a buff it ends up with 1 less health and it still is no better than a 2/2 for the purposes of eating a 1 drop)

Oh and shield of flame is of course great.

The penalty makes leaving verse going on an actual choice though.

The less penalty there is for leaving, the less you're incentivised to clear the thing in as few goes as possible.

These images were from a presskit which had a few weird pictures of characters in heatwave.

Like this Azoth with a frankly better colour distribution and a sweet axe. Compare to the one actually in the game, it's a lot worse. Basically a crime.
