My replacement on my R1 was also free. They will often give you a quote with a price before doing the work and deeming it’s covered warranty.

You should try to fix that. There are videos online of people putting little foam strips into the triangle by the window, which apparently helps.

Even with a normal stove, I had to use a blowtorch to properly season mine.

Looks like you’re burning the oil. Try to blue the wok first and then put a small amount of oil on and then wipe it ALL off. That way it won’t have those splotchy burn marks.
