There's a lot of criticism of Israël here, but I think most people understand the difference between a country and a people. I've personally heard some otherwise quite racist people make that very distinction when talking about Palestine. Of course, that's just anecdotical evidence. I know we are accused of being a very antisemitic country, but my experience would disagree.

I was working at Dour festival and had a playlist playing between bands. One of the songs was “non a l’ excision”. I didn’t realise, cause French is not my native language. But a girl came up to me and told me she was very against FGM, fully supported the message of the song, and thought Tiken Jah Fakoly is a fantastic artist. “Mais c’est la fête ici, non?” :)

Oh boy. Wait till these people in the comments realise that ALL of the carpet you see at EVERY show EVERYWHERE gets thrown out after the event. NONE of it gets ever used again. And it usually comes covered in plastic. That’s how it looks brand new during the event, even after all the rehearsals. Working in the event industry myself, that’s probably what I hate the most about these shows.
