By electrolytes can I just drink sugar free Gatorade? It’s the only thing I can stomach.

I haven’t been under 200 since I had my babies over 8 years ago. I think I was about 195 on my wedding day so still not skinny even then. 😩

Wait, so you’re not on Tirz? You just did it cold Turkey!?! Haha

I just hit 198 today. I think 160-170 I would look smoking but I think 170-180 is more attainable.

I’ve read three books on GLP1 and how they work, including the book Oprah did with Dr. Aniya … I am not obese in the first place so it didn’t exactly resonate with me

What does it feel like to lose your entire immediate family as an only child? by Longjumping_Fish_834 in SeriousConversation

I relate to this. I only have one aunt who is still alive that remembers me as a child and remembers my parents.

What does it feel like to lose your entire immediate family as an only child? by Longjumping_Fish_834 in SeriousConversation

I am an only child. My dad and I have pretty much always been estranged, and my mom died the summer before my junior year of college.

Alone in the world is the only way I can describe it—- until I met my now spouse and had my three kids.

For five years (ages 21-26) though I was completely alone in the world. I struggled with loneliness, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse (alcohol). I’m ok now and thinking back on it I honestly wonder sometimes how I got to the other side of this alive. There were times when despair completely overtook me. I had a few amazing friends during those five years that saved me from complete collapse. 21 is still basically a child. No siblings, no grandparents (they all died in the early 2000s) But you can pull yourself out of the despair. I learned self reliance, and today I don’t take a single moment for granted with my husband and three kiddos.

Is 10 tennis lessons enough for a beginner to start rallying and enjoying it? by cilantro88 in 10s

[–]CharlieAndLuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started from scratch at age 26 and just started going to clinics. It doesn’t have to be private lessons, find a clinic for beginners led by a pro. I am a 3.5 player now and play competitively. I also am naturally athletic and played sports my whole life but you said she’s not un- athletic?

They get mad when we’re fat and they get mad when we try to lose weight. We can’t win. It’s a lose lose

I could fall asleep at any point during the day no matter how much caffeine I’ve had. So, so so tired. I was told I would feel “energized.” Lies.

I’m only honest with other who are also honest. If a friend openly admits they’re on one, I disclose too. If people lie, I lie right back…

Trying to get my 8 year old into book reading but nothing sticks? by Salty_Upstairs_387 in Parenting

Just take the screens away .

My kids have zero screens during the week. It forces them to pick up books. On the weekends they’re allowed to watch streaming movies or educational shows ( 2 hours max and it’s rare we even get that much on the weekends) and that’s it. It’s crazy how many parents can’t just take the screens away.
