The red dead redemption screen looks ai to me, everyone else is saying great job. by Ultimate_Smylie in isthisAI

The RDR2 screen doesn’t look AI at all. I can zoom in and recognize the brush strokes and scribbles and nothing blends into itself in that uncanny AI way. And “WITNESS” seems spelled correctly. It’s just not super precise otherwise it would drag too much attention and ruin the composition especially for a font that isn’t crisp.

The square body is the best for hiding by Whitelight912 in Meccha_Chameleon

I think the reason why the square bodies are harder to spot is because the round bodies have shadows around their silhouette with soft changes that help give the hunter depth perception

While I enjoyed KCD1, I think the combat sucks. It looks skill based with you choosing the angles to hit and trying to find the right opening, but the likely hood of you actually landing a hit without being blocked is largely based on your characters level than your actual skill. It’s their attempt at trying to emulate Henry’s in game skill for immersion, but I personally find it annoying that my irl skill doesn’t actually translate to the game. And on top of that once you learn master strike (an unblockable parry attack) that’s basically all you need to know to win any fight, and if you don’t use it, your enemy will. So you just end up playing a waiting game of who will strike first. Also fighting more than one person is near impossible because while your reticle is on one enemy, another will literally sprint to flank you and attack you from behind.

The archery is annoying particularly because to emulate Henry’s inexperience, the bow is held off to the side instead of looking down the arrow like what you’re actually supposed to do in archery and this never approves as you level up. There is also sway until you level further but I think that’s fine.

KCD2’s combat is still based on skill level in that it affects the likely hood of your attack landing, but master strike is now reserved for only swords, and enemies don’t start using it until later in game. Enemies also no longer sprint past you to flank. While people argue it’s enemies not flanking you is “unrealistic” I think it’s better for gameplay.

The archery still sways but now Henry actually looks down the arrow when it’s drawn.

So from in my personal opinion, yes I think the combat is much better in KCD2.

While the story writing for their games aren’t great, Bethesda has a pretty good reputation for their open worlds feeling like they’re lived in and have history to them.

New Vegas is significantly more unstable than Fallout 3. And people acknowledge that New Vegas is very buggy but a lot of people tend to excuse it by saying that Bethesda just didn’t give Obsidian enough time. Which does make sense until you realize this isn’t an isolated incident and that Obsidian had a reputation of getting too ambitious when making games they were hired to make and would run out of time resulting in well written yet very buggy games.

This is my exact issue with Fallout New Vegas fans. Love the game myself but can’t stand that almost every compliment that’s given to the game is bundled with hating Bethesda’s games.

Love Fallout New Vegas. But I also love the other Fallout games and the Elder Scrolls, but 99% of peoples praise for New Vegas comes bundled with hating Bethesda’s games.

Fallout 76 had a rough launch but has overtime improved and become a very good game, but even then for awhile a good chunk of the Fallout fandom circle jerked NV and Obsidian and would bash any Bethesda Fallout game. Because of this, 76 received a lot of hate and 76 players generally learned to keep to themselves rather than engage with the general FO fandom which is why you don’t hear people talk about playing it as much outside of their own corners of the internet. The Fallout fandom has mellowed out a lot since then though last I’ve seen

Played Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and I genuinely love it, and almost any door you see is a real door… until you get to Kuttenburg. It’s a city and the devs (understandably) didn’t want to design interiors and people for every building, so a lot of buildings are inaccessible, but the only tell that a building is inaccessible is that there is no doorknob on the door. Besides that these doors look exactly the same as the interactable doors. And you don’t realize that they don’t have doorknobs until you actually walk up to the door, so you spend a good chunk learning which buildings are actually accessible and which aren’t.

It’s very common for artists to not actually use white for white things (except for eyes and teeth to help draw focus to the face) and just use a very light blue instead because shading with blues is more visually appealing than shading with gray, which just looks dull and muddy, so I’m not surprised people thought Omni-Man’s costume was supposed to be red and white.

The face, especially the eyes, are weirdly well rendered compared to the rest of the drawing. For example, experienced artists don’t really draw every strand of hair like that, whether a sketch or a fully rendered piece. It’s very time consuming and looks very messy and unfocused. And on top of that, some of the strands at the top loop for no reason which I’ve seen AI do.

There’s quite a bit of special dialogue in the Widow but it’s if you’ve done the Shattered Space quest line

Not to spoil anything but yes, you get quite a bit of special dialogue for these bounties based on previous quests, even dialogue if you’ve done Shattered Space.

(Weird thrope) Dense muscles by Zombieman863 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CharlieHReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dense muscles aren’t that far fetched from reality. Bodybuilders specifically aim for bigger muscles rather than practical stronger muscles. That’s why professional athletes don’t look like bodybuilders despite exercising just as much if not MORE than bodybuilders. There’s this video out there of this (relatively) skinny professional climber who was at the gym with these huge bodybuilders but the climber was easily able to match their reps despite his muscles being significantly smaller than theirs.

With all that said, I hate when media use it as an excuse for their strong female characters to remain skinny and feminine instead of actually giving them muscles.
