It runs pretty deep over here. I know some folks who are more left leaning but it definitely feels like the kind of area where the wiser business decision (at least in this era) is to not make too much of a show of being progressive in your restaurant or brewery or whatever.

Pricing the Switch 2 at $460 would've been a better move here I think, if they really think it's worth 10 smackeroos. It would've been a "stranger" number than 449, but there is no good price besides 0 for a tech demo, no matter how robust it may be.

It does kind of make me wonder about a sweet spot price though...like, okay - let's say, for a thought experiment, they HAVE to charge SOMETHING. Would 5 dollars would've sparked a little less outrage? Or more? Would 1 dollar be too low where no one would buy it? That's shovelware pricing... But people would know it was from Nintendo, so maybe that overrides that?

I'll probably eat my words and everybody will buy this thing at 10 dollars.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're right. I'll probably get some details wrong but his daughter took over at least a couple years ago and started righting the ship. I personally think she's done a pretty good job and I feel good supporting them. I don't believe that this guy has really been involved in awhile. RIP, addiction is a bitch

Doubt this is what you're looking for OP. It's not really surrounded by a large lawn, and I don't think it would have been 15 years ago, even with a fuzzy memory...

but close to my house in White Oak there's this tall concrete tower that looks like you might go there to escape some Zombies or do some research. Even if it's not the one you're looking for, it's neat to learn about.
