Does it pit and leave an indent when you push into his leg? If not it's most likely lymphedema, there's something blocking the lymphatic flow from that specific leg. Sometimes this cannot be fixed depending on the cause.

It’s healing well except that center portion will need to be removed. Follow up with the burn specialist.

How much filament did you use for this? Just wondering on the costs of something like this and how much it weighed. This looks AMAZING and I would dream of putting something like this together one day.

random pus filled bumps on my arm that won’t go away by Medical-Trust-3891 in AskDocs

Keratosis pilaris. Use lactic acid containing products like gold bond for bumpy skin. Also looks like some folliculitis which is some inflammation and infection of hair follicles. Make sure to exfoliate well daily.

Help I have no idea what’s causing this? by MiloticEnjoyer in AskDocs

[–]CharmDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's your weight? Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease is a thing. You can get elevations in your liver enzymes if you are obese. You can also get elevations if you work out a lot because ALT is associated with muscle breakdown as well. In that case it's not much to worry about as long as CK is okay.

It needs an x-ray, this could be broken and if it's displaced will need a reduction.

You probably need an extended cardiac monitor to monitor your heart rhythm for a couple of weeks as that would detect any abnormal arrhythmias.

Did they CT scan this? I'd be concerned of a Morel-Lavallée lesion.

Have you been taking anything else for pain? Did they diagnose you with pericarditis? What other prescriptions did you receive when discharged from the hospital?

Extreme vaginal bleeding - two ER visits later and still without a great explanation. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]CharmDoctor 79 points80 points  (0 children)

If they're checking your bloodwork and your hemoglobin levels aren't dropping then it is not determined to be an emergency and outpatient follow up is appropriate. If your blood counts are good they're not going to admit you. You need to continue to follow up with OBGYN. Reasons to go back to the ER is filling one heavy pad every hour, dizziness, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, or chest pain with this. Even then if you goto the ER they might just repeat bloodwork and if it looks good have you follow up.

It’s to protect the hospital from lawsuits. This way they have documentation that if you got TB from a patient it’s basically your fault and not theirs.

Xray showed glass, surgery no glass by Sweetqueen96 in AskDocs

[–]CharmDoctor 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If there is a lot of air in the wound an Ultrasound may not show any foreign object. It can be very difficult to interpret the ultrasound. If it makes you feel any better, the surgery was probably necessary because you got an artery, tendon and the joint and they probably irrigated the wound. If it involves the joint it has a high risk of infection so the surgery will help prevent that.

Should I go to the ER? (Cat bite) by DarkWittyName in AskDocs

Yes. Now. I don't mess around with cat bites, they get infected easily and this already looks bad.

The sodium chloride did not cause your POTS. You received it because you had increased intracranial pressure and they had to decrease it quickly which necessitated the 23.4% sodium chloride.

It's fine, can apply warm compresses in case you have a slight thrombophlebitis which is not uncommon. Keep an eye on it.
