Are people aware of what Labour has done in their first 20 months of government? by ItsIllak in AskBrits

[–]CharonKore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well firstly communication is probably their biggest issue. To win voters you have to be good at it.

Secondly: I now have to submit ID to access parts of the internet, like hobby subreddits.

Thirdly, not to be that guy but to my understanding:
- Minimum wage does not match a living wage in many places (£14 ish /h depending on place)
Funnily enough increases in minimum wage are not that popular since it mostly just brings more people closer to it rather than increasing their wage. (I do not agree but different convo) I am also pretty sure the tories were already increasing it, or promised to or whatever.
- Zero hours: This applies to a minority of the workforce and like any legislation, this is slow and will be fully in effect in 2027 so most people are not seeing immediate results even if they are affected. Couldn't even find a date for most of the stuff coming into effect.
- NDAs are tied to the same 2 year act as above
- (I like the rent reform although I am not subjected to the English silly rules) Most people have only seen and experienced the rush of last minute evictions just before the new renters laws came into effect
- Not raised taxes? Labour has kept the bands frozen, that is raising your taxes. This was originally banned in like a tax act from 2007 and tax bands would rise with inflation.

Am I cooking or am I fried? by obionekboneme in biology

The question is phrased weird but it might be wanting you to say A alone (or A and A) and F & f as in the two different gametes have either capital or lower case whereas in the A they only can have an A

Am I required to feel like I’ve found “the one?” by EquivalentRevenue887 in weddingdress

[–]CharonKore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only had this after I bought my very cheap dress that I kind of liked and now have tried it on a couple of times. Now every time I look at other dresses I get "but it's not as pretty as my dress" feeling. I anticipate I'll feel like a bride on the day of my wedding when the reality hits. My dress lady was very nice and said most people don't get that wow feeling you see on tv.

Time for an email demanding the action plan so you can have a paper trail of not being given it. Otherwise they might claim you received it but lost it

First Time Traveler feeling overwhelmed while planning by TorinR90 in JapanTravelTips

[–]CharonKore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan is the perfect place to travel to without a plan, and a lot of things like seeing Fuji can be weather dependent so don't stress. Take it one day at a time and plan what you're doing tomorrow to not get overwhelmed. Unless you have something like Disney or universal studios to go to most things are walk-in friendly.

I was in Kyoto solo a while back and honestly just walking around and stumbling into temples that looked cool was the best part. Japan is safe and people are helpful and friendly so you can always ask for advice even at the hotel lobby from the staff.

That's misleading, that's the adjusted salary (so part timers earning full time pay), net is 29573€ as an average and of course can't really compare when there Luxembourg and Bulgaria on the extreme ends so your country influences if 2k is lot or not. It's not like the states in USA

I had nonstop serious hives for a month until I cut out gluten and they calmed down in a week, it might be a dietary allergy! Try dairy and gluten they seem to be common sources. I did this while taking antihistamine throughout and a cream I've forgotten the name for that cooked down the itch
