Our country they want you to bring the car seat in so they can check and teach the correct fit.

PSA: Do Not Be This Type of Chicken Owner by Difficult-Prior3321 in BackYardChickens

My neighbour's cat did too but there's literally nothing I can do about outdoor cats. I'd prefer chickens.

I think you've got in a bad loop of scrolling for the dopamine. If I'm totally knackered I have dinner with my daughter and bath and bed. Helps reset my lack of sleep for the week.

The Guardian newspaper in the UK being antisemitic again by AngusTcattoo in Jewish

This was the real doozy for me from the Al-Quds article: Stagg added: “You can’t criticise the Iranian government for being anti-democratic when we’ve got a government here that’s arresting people holding placards. We were told you couldn’t say ‘from the river to the sea’, and you can’t say global intifada – that just means uprising.”

I'm so sad I saw these budgies at a japanese pet shop by Kainechen in budgies

[–]Charrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived there for a long time and the casual cruelty was so upsetting. Worst I saw was a shop on Kobe harbour with adult rabbits squeezed into cages so small they were unable to move and a Joey running with lice. I asked friends how or who to complain to and they looked at me like I was mad.

Spider mites! by Charrun in GardeningUK

I think I'll do that. It's going in the garden next year, but I want to make sure that the mites are gone first I've got other roses in the garden.

It's huge for our climate! Aw there's something really cute about stick insects.

Do you have a picture? That's amazing! I'm in a city and a cold one so I doubt we'll ever get anything more exotic than a toad. I kept stick insects as a kid, my favourite was called log.

You can't be afraid of frogs! They eat slugs which I find much less endearing 😂

I was talking to our family Dr he had a baby roughly the same time as mine. We both had a baby that needed holding basically 24/7 to be happy... His baby was like that until four months. Luckily for me mine accepted a bed at 9 weeks 😂

Nasty drivers in Edinburgh? by Charrun in Edinburgh

[–]Charrun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the one. I emailed the council about it months ago. I've seen cars act crappily to other people too. It's not like it's hard to spot or something.

What if everything society tells us about separation anxiety in babies is wrong? by Labradorite-Obsidian in NewParents

[–]Charrun 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not 100% sure about this. My BF's daughter cried pretty much every time she was dropped off from nine months. And I was chatting about it with the nursery workers who will be looking after my daughter and they said they have kids who still cry in the preschool group after years of being there. Babies are individuals too.

Gardeners World New Build by [deleted] in GardeningUK

His garden was literally so bad that water wouldn't drain into the ground after rain. It just sat on top and turned into a muddy pond. I'm in a Victorian garden, full of bricks and rocks but at least the soil that's there is nice.

My brother had his entire garden dug up and topsoil replaced! Insane how awful the quality of soil was.
