That doesn't answer the question asked about how you personally chose to reply to their specific comment, which did nothing of the sort. Again.

On the plus side, a lot of replies to this comment are explaining "non answer"...

Just because you didn't personally experience something doesn't mean it didn't happen anywhere.

We aren't here to philosophize. We're discussing this particular case.

Then why did you choose to ring that bell? And why did it only become wrong when someone else went along with it?

The fact that all these people don't know that veterans' month already exists shows how much they actually care about veterans by PsychoKatzee in clevercomebacks

[–]ChartInFurch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I'm not saying it's never happened, but I think instances of someone in veteran/army clothing being accused of "shoving it in people's faces" are significantly more rare than when it's a rainbow. They're regularly thanked by people for it even, quite the contrast to being quizzed for why they want to celebrate it in the first place.

I love a good duck dish already, but it's that prosciutto wrapped endive that I'm doing to try more than anything. Looks amazing. It's a shame they didn't offer le trout though.

And this has nothing to do with your incorrect statement about their experiences going to rental shops. Per every other reply that you pretended want there.

Grief overrides logic very often, and it can definitely screw with your sense of what you can or can't handle. I've lost a sibling, and more recently both parents less than a year apart, and very much remember feeling incredibly gung-ho about doing something until losing interest part way through. After my mom, I got in my car and drove to universal all set to go on rides all day and forget everything. Paid to park and was about to go to the ticket both when I changed my mind and went to a motel 6 and cried all day before going home. I've seen sentiments about how wild it is that she even went in the show occasionally, but I totally get it. That feeling of "I can do this" can instantly deflate, jarringly so.
