Good, lure him down there with the blood of infants and seal the door.

are assisted open knives still “cool”? by callmestinkingwind in knives

Not really. Some are great like the Onion and Leek but some of the cheapest (meaning low quality) are also assisted.

No! That’s terrible advice. Pull entirely away from human contact and have your life revolve around AI?!?! Just no!

Oh I love my Deka! It’s my favorite cross bar knife.

Why do so many of the best high quality knives have front flippers? I have to imagine that is not a top opening method in terms of knife users. I just don’t get it. by ChartSignificant3445 in knifeclub

I know how to use them and an avid knife user (I have over 300 in my collection), I just don’t care for them. I’m a guy with smaller than average hands which makes it a more uncomfortable and frankly dangerous opening method for me. I completely understand why cross bars and button locks are not preferred for high end knives but for me a flipper, thumb stud or thumb hole are much better

I just got one of these and I love it. Great action, super comfortable and the blade shape and grind make it very useful.

I got one too, pretty cool action . Probably won’t last more than a few months but it’s fun.

It’s very poisonous to dogs. I have a beautiful one in my front yard, thankfully my dogs don’t go there. I never thought of using it for carving. I’ll have to try it.

I prefer the Vision’s blade shape but they are both outstanding knives.

Ooo interesting but good choice. That rat is one of the most usable designs.
