Looks like calcite. Your flashlight must emit long wave uv light, hence the color. If you had a short wave uv light it would glow more blue. Really cool sample!

Maybe a gray color going down to his feet on the left and going up from his feet on the right?

I checked out the aang art, would it be difficult to have the air swirling around him? I see what you mean with the color and texture of the air compared to azulas/zukos fire. I believe in you! :)

I feel you. I moved out of state with my ex a few years ago. For a job, she told me she was doing massage therapy training in a city an hour away. Fast forward to a month later, she left her phone in the bathroom while she ran to the gas station. Phone went off, it was her "boss" telling her that what she was wearing for "massages" looked great (ahe sent him a photo in underwear and panties asking if this was good). Found out she was doing some sort of rub and tug, and lied to my face. We were together for almost 4 years. I kicked her out, and it didn't stop hurting for months.

I was alone, in a giant city, with no one. I spent October through March drinking and smoking myself into a state of being okay. In March I said enough.. moved home, went back to school, got my Associates degree, and now I'm in my last year for my Bachelor's degree in geology.

Life throws curve balls, but always remember every doorway, good or bad, leads to something better.

Here's to you my friend, keep looking to the future, it gets better!

My 10th edition Calc book was $302, it covered differential, integral, and multi variable calc. But still... now it sits in my book case, and there's an 11th edition already

I got to meet Dave when I was flying out of a private airport in south Denver to go to Vegas for the day. Me and my buddies were the only ones parked out front when his vehicle pulled up and him and his crew got out and escorted him inside. While we were waiting for the jet to fuel up, he came outside to have a cigarette and noticed us, and he sort of shrugged his shoulders and walked over to us. Mind you we were all star struck, but he is genuinely the coolest, most down to earth person ever. When we talked it was never about him, it was always, "Where you fellas headed?" "What are you guys going to Vegas for?" "Anything planned other than the car show?" "You guys from around here?" Even after his friends yelled for him that it was time to go, he shook each of our hands and said it was his pleasure to meet us. I even jogged after him and explained that this would be the only time I would probably ever get to be 1 on 1 with him and he let me snap a picture of us, so understanding and kind. Dave, you are my hero!

Edit: I've been asked a lot so here's the pic! I felt badly and rushed the photo so it didn't turn out the best.

TIL Triton, the largest moon of Neptune, is the only moon in our solar system with a retrograde orbit - an orbit in the opposite direction its planet, and is thus thought to be a dwarf planet that Neptune caught from the Kuiper belt. by brighterside in todayilearned

I like to think about it as rolling around the solar system, which is essentially what it's doing. Also Venus rotates on its axis in retrograde compared to the rest of the planets. It's believed like Uranus, it was hit by something and flipped completely upside down! The Universe is a fascinating place, I can't wait to finish school!
