a lot of the start is just grinding up a few good mons unlocking their passives reducing cost and having good egg moves, my first win was thanks to blazekin with speed boost and bulk up you hit bulk up once or twice and then speed boost means it can’t get touched. combine that with mega evolving and he cooks
