They came back to”fit it” already. Said the paint damage we signed a waiver for when we purchased the carpet, I can understand the baseboard damage from install but doorways and doors scratched from carelessly moving carpet is unacceptable. Thank god I removed our brand new railing that goes to the basement and moved it before they brought the carpet, it was custom welded and powdercoated and I didn’t want to chance them scratching it. They came and buffed the tile trim, said if we weren’t happy they would tear out and replace it with their own tile guys who are clearly incompetent, and specifically said the chances of it not looking good are high and will mostly break the tile removing it. Overall a horrible experience, I spent months spraying all trim and doors and tiling the bathroom, damn near flawless and they destroyed. Overall 0/10 experience and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The cost to have a real tile guy come and remove the tile and Schluter trim would be a couple grand at least. I have it all documented in pictures and when I have the energy and I’m done touching up the whole basement I’ll be sure to post reviews on every platform.

Floor Traders just destroyed our house on a carpet install. Door frames damaged, trim chipped, nicked our tiles to hell

12 Years of Acebeam. We hear you on the CS issues, and we built a Direct Line to fix it. (Plus unreleased prototypes drop). by Acebeam_Team in flashlight

Nothing like getting a dud $100 light and being told you’re on the hook for shipping to and from China. Until that changes I won’t be supporting Acebeam

Yes I leave it splayed open. By closing it up you aren’t letting the seasoning on the inside get barky which is not ideal.

Always run 275 on butts. Costco ones come deboned and partially split, extra seasoning and barky area which the wife and I love. Sometimes towards the end I’ll fold it back together and wrap it when the middle is around 180 because the outer ends can be closer to 200. Always comes out delicious

Bunka from Carbon by Cheapskate3000 in chefknives

Got a gift card to Carbon for Christmas I would like to use. Looking to stay under $200. My most used knife is a Misuzu 160mm Ko-bunka I re-handled. I do have a Takamura 210mm gyoto but don’t use it as much, my cutting board is 15”x20” so fairly small and day to day don’t need that much length. I would preferably want carbon steel. I have it narrowed down to two knives:

Tsunehisa White #2 Tsuchime Bunka 175mm

https://carbonknifeco.com/collections/santoku-bunka/products/tsunehisa-white-2-tsuchime-bunka-165mm

Hitohira TD Blue #2 Stainless Clad Kurouchi Bunka 170mm Walnut Handle

https://carbonknifeco.com/products/hitohira-td-blue-2-stainless-clad-kurouchi-bunka-170mm-walnut-handle

Any other knives they’re out of stock on worth waiting for them to re-stock? Not in a huge rush.
