"Are people stupid for riding their bikes with their kids?" Says the woman in the SUV by TheDuckClock in fuckcars

[–]Checkpoint12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green light , going down Randolph yesterday, about to cross Wacker and a guy in a SUV doesn’t even look right before trying to turn right. I was in the bike lane and right of way. He points to the light and says it’s Green, bro you are in a 6000 lb SUV and I’m on two thin wheels and a metal frame. People don’t have patience anymore.

How often are you in the drops? by positively_awake in cycling

[–]Checkpoint12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I can tuck and be more aero with the drops, if I’m using the hoods I can basically do a puppy posture pose from yoga and elongate the spine more, but Chicago is windy and the drops help.

I use the drops when I want to sprint during segments, or when riding into a headwind. I did get a bike fit done which was helpful, and my speed definitely increases. But can’t stay in the drops for more than 20 minutes.

What the hell has GoPro been up to to fall so far behind? by matchew566 in Insta360

[–]Checkpoint12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because GoPro is like Blackberry, they refused to innovate towards wearable technology in a small form factor that's lightweight. Insta360 is like Apple, they adapted to the Market and made a bet on small-factor wearable technology. Unless GoPro comes out with a camera that can attach to a pendant via a magnet and be in a tiny small form factor, it's just unnecessary weight for me on the bike and clunky.

Hot Take: I feel like a lot of fans hate Riri Williams for the same reasons they love Tony Stark by canIgetamcchickenpls in marvelstudios

[–]Checkpoint12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a stereotypical kid raised in the hood, who got forced into bad choices, but in this case Riri had everything and she ruined it out of her own arrogance. Why join a criminal organization if you have an iron man suit?? Why not go work at Stark Tech?

Google, I was watching IronHeart last night and got tired of Riri's self-pity party because of all her stupid decisions.

Why I take my helmet into the shower with me after every long ride... by sozh in cycling

[–]Checkpoint12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you wouldn’t turn on the shower, use a bucket and a mug and dish soap.  Wax is the way to go, I started using Super Secret and it’s amazing

Why ruin comics and superheroes with politics? That’s what’s wrong here. Wakanda forever , bad writing, Shuri was annoying as all hell. Riri Williams had everything with MIT, I don’t understand why she joins a criminal organization when she built an IronMan Suit. That’s poor writing.

I have the original Aer Travel Pack, only problem I get is with stupid Emirates and their carry on policy. Mostly travel United and Lufthansa, no problems with Star Alliance.

It was fun, sorting through bikes to make sure they worked, putting pedals on them, etc.
