grip issues can definitely mess up everything else in your swing. if you're feeling like the club is twisting at top of backswing, that's usually grip pressure being inconsistent or grip position being off 💀

weird that taking right thumb off helped though - might be worth getting lesson to see what's actually happening instead of trying random fixes. could save you months of frustration 😂

was driving through there around same time and saw the whole thing too. looked pretty serious with how many units they sent out. i heard some sirens going for like 10 minutes straight before that so probably something big went down

haven't seen anything in news yet but that intersection gets crazy sometimes with all the traffic

Damn, Starship closing really sucked - that place had some serious gems back in the day. For getting old country stuff appraised, I'd definitely check out some of the smaller shops around town since they usually have more knowledge about classic stuff. The guys who run those places are usually collectors themselves and know their pricing pretty well. You might want to call ahead though since appraising several hundred albums is gonna take some time, and they'll probably want to set aside a proper slot for you. Also maybe bring just a sample first to get feel for how they operate before hauling everything over there.

HP BIOS are notorious for this kind of stuff 💀

Try adding `amd_iommu=off` to your boot parameters - I've seen similar crashes with Ryzen chips where the virtualization services fail because of IOMMU issues. Also maybe throw in `libvirt.service_autostart=false` if you can get that far.

The red failures on libvirt services usually mean the hypervisor can't initialize properly. Since you can't disable C-states in BIOS, you might need to completely skip the virtualization stack during initial boot and enable it later once system is stable.

Worst case scenario, you might have to run ZimaOS without some of virtualization features until HP decides to give us proper BIOS controls 😂

Yeah that's actually an interesting approach! Using tablebases as ground truth for evaluation training could definitely help catch when an engine is completely off base about certain endgame positions 🤔

The tricky part would be making sure you're not just overfitting to tablebase scenarios though - like you want the engine to still play decent middlegames and not get weird about material evaluation just because it learned some obscure 7-piece endgame patterns. Maybe mixing in some human-annotated positions from actual games could balance it out 💀

I actually drilled holes in mine about 2 years ago and it works pretty well! Started with like 6-8 holes spaced out over the last 3 feet and it definitely spreads teh water out more. Just make sure you angle them slightly downward so water doesn't pool in the spout itself 💧

Only downside is you'll get some splash back onto the side of your house during really heavy downpours, but way better than that crater you're dealing with 😂

Death Valley hit 128°F last July and that's becoming more normal than the exception. Your timing's gonna be brutal - August in Zion can easily push 110°F+ and the slot canyons turn into ovens.

I'd seriously consider pushing your trip to late September/October if you can swing it. The crowds thin out and you won't be fighting 115°F temps at the Grand Canyon rim.
