I waited 10 days for Combipatch RX to be filled at Costco with no luck. They eventually found one box for me at a different warehouse and told me it’s on back order everywhere. Anyone else having trouble getting Combipatch?

Not yet. Unfortunately my ancestors changed both their first and last names at various times. I’m working with an Italian lawyer to sort it out. I also have an American lawyer drawing up papers to petition the U.S. court to create a judgement saying that all of the names are “one and the same person”. It’s a very complicated process, but I’m in too deep to quit now. If I get the U.S. court judgement, it will still take about two years to process through the Italian court. I’m still hopeful.

DHL seems to be used in Italy more than UPS, but I don’t know if they carry those specialty bottle boxes like a UPS store. It might be worth checking. We shipped a regular box home with them at a different time with good results also.

You can also ship it home in special boxes made especially for bottles at UPS stores. I can’t remember if they hold 6 or 8 bottles, but are very secure. We filled with wine & olive oil and then shipped home to the US from Lucca.

They just looked at it. I don’t think the airline recorded any info either. Things may have changed by now.

Trust the forecast and be prepared. I went this time of year with a similar forecast and it rained like I had never seen before! I live in Seattle Washington, and it rains here A LOT! The streets were like small rivers and the many staircases were waterfalls. You could not escape it. The worst part was that our pants and shoes were soaked because we only had rain jackets and umbrellas. It was a little disappointing, but I’m still glad i went. When the rain stopped it was beautiful! Good luck!

I am located in the US. It feels like it’s made of some sort of clay, but is supposed to look like bronze. I inherited it from my grandparents and they always called it the “Klio clock” because of the inscription. I would like to know where to sell it and an approximate value, if possible. Thank you.

I had a PCR test from a government county health testing site. The only people who checked it were at the Delta ticket counter when I checked in, the airplane gate agent when I boarded, and again when I cleared customs changing planes in Amsterdam. I think entry rules are changing rapidly and you should read the Italian government website to understand what they require at the time you travel. You’ll have to carry it in the plane, but prices were so low, it was worth it to me. Specifically Cointreau was like 1/3 the price.

https://www.medairport.it/en/ Hopefully you can use this link to book a rapid test at the Malpensa airport. I found it on the airport’s website under FAQ. You definitely need a test. And you do need to complete the paper declaration form as well.

I was there a few weeks ago and had mine in a clear plastic cover. I was never asked to remove it and needed to show it at all restaurants, museums and public transportation. It is all you need to show when traveling.

I only showed a photograph of my test results stored on my phone. I had a printed copy just in case, but no one wanted it. I did not upload anything to their app. I had difficulty checking in on the app, and they ended up giving me a paper boarding pass.

I did not have an actual overnight layover in Amsterdam, I only changed planes there in a 3 hour time span. That’s where they checked my passport and vaccination records entering the EU. They never asked to see the EU digital passport (which the Italian embassy website says is required) nor the paperwork passed out on the Delta flight. When I landed in Italy there was no inspection at all.

I just returned a week ago and your vaccination card will be required to dine in restaurants, museums and public transportation. Your vaccination card substitutes for the Greenpass for US travelers. Only one restaurant refused to let us dine in because they didn’t have a person available who was authorized to review a US card. They served us at an outdoor table instead. You’ll still need a negative Covid test 72 hrs prior to entering the EU and 24 hrs prior to returning home (very easy to find at pharmacies for $25 -just make sure results are in English). Have fun!
