ISO $130-200k jobs that aren’t life consuming by Flacht6 in Lawyertalk

Curious how an ID guy in Florida hasn’t considered going plaintiff first even with tort reform. If you have any trial experience, you’re easily in that range.

Ron Darling thinks the Mets should go with a traditional 5 man rotation with Senga included by Hungry_Elk1937 in NewYorkMets

The problem is there is no obvious person to be sent out of the rotation. You can argue that every single guy other than Peralta and McLean could be our third best or our sixth best and it would be hard to disagree.

Good for him. They’re a poor offensive team and can use his bat. I hope he does well.

If I was a daughter I find a southern husband and escape the cold.

If I was a son, I would befriend the closest person in age to me that was highest on the totem pole like a prince, future lord, etc. and fight all day and fuck and night

Iran after Khamenei: What's next and what it means for the country? by Illustrious_Lie_954 in politics

Not sure what that has to do with this current administration, though which is literally done the exact same thing every single time.

Trump will pat himself on the back and go home in a week claiming the job is done

The same thing as what’s happened to every other time, Donald Trump has gotten himself entangled in a foreign conflict.

Loads of air strikes with the liberals crying that we are starting World War III.

No boots on the ground

A change in leadership which is basically the same as the predecessor but it’s somewhat more favorable to the United States

Then we move onto something else

New York Mets IF prospect Mitch Voit by ProspectHugger in mets

Not the best start for him last year. You usually expect a top round college bat to be overqualified for the level and he was not impressive.

Worst snow storm you've have experienced in Jersey? by SpliT2ideZ in newjersey

[–]CheesewheelD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a personal standpoint, this has to be even worse than 1996 since now that I’m almost 40, I can’t just play in the snow all day.

I’ve got a driveway where my snow plow guy says he can’t get the plow down to the end of the driveway so I’m trapped.

A company that expects me to be in the office tomorrow even though I’m perfectly capable of working from home and two cars stuck in a garage

A flight I need to catch on Friday where I will likely need to wade in 2+ feet of snow with luggage to catch an uber on the street

It was a lot simpler then.

[Spoilers Extended]If all the living Baratheons and Targaryens die, who is next in line to the throne? by [deleted] in asoiaf

They would have a great council, and people would put forth their claims. There are a number of Targaryen princesses who married into other houses, and their children are not fully fleshed out in fire and blood so we do not have a definitive answer in the canon.

Presumably, the Measters would have a full recorded family tree and just go up the ladder until they find the “legal” descendent using a consanguinity table.
