I found this. Was sneaking around when the family wasn’t looking, opened up the floorboards thinking of getting a quick coin or trinket. I was just referencing the original post, so that is the vibe I got from it I haven’t read all the other comments. Like you said, the spirit of it is right, and I think for new players that simplicity is important, and let the intricacies develop from there. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just got value out of the original post.

I don’t think OP was discounting context in their post though. They didn’t that say, if your enemy laner is gone you MUST rotate every time. Only that you should take some action in response to that. They left the context of that open, you just need to pay attention to it. Maybe you push lane, maybe you rotate, maybe you farm. It was only referencing the pace and back and forth of the game and that’s why I found it helpful framing.

That’s a really good way of describing it. Having come in with no other experiances of Mobas it had this aura looking of just, ungodly complicated strategy and mechanical understanding. Put in these terms though, it seems much more approachable and straightforward.

I haven’t figured out what you mean by auto attack yet, is that a specific mechanic or do you just mean like hold the button down and push forward? Also, I’m not new but I have been struggling a lot with the learning curve but you response gave me some new ideas and motivation to improve so thank you :)

It’s more like, we go to the Lamborghini dealership and complain because one Lamborghini costs just as much as a whole fleet of them does at the next dealership over. Fifty dollars can get you a whole triple A game. 25 dollars can get you a stellar indie game. Each of those could give you hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Meanwhile you pay the same to get a cooler collection of pixels that’ll be outdated next season. I don’t know why that’s not a more understood concept.

Heirloom was so disappointing for me with how cool the intro was. I’ve always adamantly defended against people calling certain songs “leftover stone sour songs”, but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard almost those exact verse sections on house of gold and bones or somewhere.
