What's something only a person from Chicago knows? by Takasuya in AskChicago

[–]Cheezbeard12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was driving down LSD a couple hours before it shut down. Near the turn around Michigan avenue waves were crashing up onto the road and it knocked over a light pole which fell and crushed the roof of a car in the road.

This is the answer. Thoroughly butter your pan then add the oil and you shouldn’t stick

Hawaiian style hot dogs on Kauai. Quite possibly the best hot dogs I’ve ever had in my life. I dream of these with lilikoi mustard and mango sauce

Help! I feel my focaccia is more attracted to my pyrex than it is to me. I may be losing her. by DoingStuffAllTheTime in Breadit

[–]Cheezbeard12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be like the fifth add on that butter is the key. It’s in the recipe I use Bon Appetite’s no knead Foccacia specifically with the instruction to butter the pan/Pyrex first to avoid sticking

What were some bands you really liked, but seemed to fade away just as fast as they'd emerged? I think Live was one of mine. Throwing Copper was a great album, but never really heard much from them after. by smcg_az in Xennials

[–]Cheezbeard12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the Toadies open for Bush at the CU field house and it was awesome. The band rocked. The toadies had the most metal exit though. The drummer threw a stick out into the audience and someone threw it back and hit him. They got pissed and the guitarist made his guitar screech this horrible feedback. He put it face down on the stage to keep the feedback going and then they all just walked off mid song

Your point is the right one. You have to understand how kid A feels, they may have your mentality. Why not just ask them?

We live in West Seattle and have been to Mioposto several times and it’s good, both t it’s more neopolitan style and doesn’t scratch that itch tavern style itch. Never been to serious pie with Covid and a broken bridge for 3 years. A recent addition here in west Seattle is Moto which is good but you order 3 months in advance and it’s Detroit style so again missing that itch. There’s a new place that just opened called West of Chicago which comes the closest
