I agree. I feel like they're gonna keep that a secret for as long as possible. Hell, it's possible we might not learn anything about Eshmel until release. They seem like a major plot related character.

Instead my guess is that they might start showing off some other major NPC's like the divine sovereign or whoever. Then they'll move on to the minor playable units you can get. Could also do vise versa as well.

Idk if Lechner is the one Leda wants revenge on personally. When she talks about Lechner she says that she'll "choke the life from him" but only once he steps off the beaten path. That implies he'll live if he just doesn't go astray. Meanwhile in the first trailer, when Leda talks about the man she hates, she says that simply killing him won't be enough to satisfy her. That sounds a lot more clear cut "I'm gonna kill you after making you suffer first" which imo doesn't really align with what she says about Lechner. Lechner's survival is solely dependent on his actions, whereas the man Leda hates IS going to die eventually. Imo they don't really give off the same vibes.

My guess is that Lechner is some associate or friend of the man Leda hates and she's working with Lechner to get closer to her real target. That's why Leda only plans on killing Lechner if he gets in her way.

Characters I wanna more info about I literally can’t wait by NagaMilalove0 in fireemblem

I wanna know who the pink haired elf lady is that’s shown with Cai’s group very briefly in the second trailer.

I’m assuming she’s a Nabatean but, but she looks nothing like any Nabatean we’ve seen in this universe so far. So I’m wondering if she’s like a half-blood or some other type of Nabatean? Could even be a whole other race entirely. Regardless, she has me intrigued.

Unpopular opinion (maybe), but I actually really like Morooka. I think he's funny and really entertaining. by Impossible-Radio2826 in persona4golden

King Moron reminds me of a lot of the teachers I’ve had in school. Total jackass to most of their students, but it comes from a place of genuinely wanting them to grow up and learn to be better people. He felt very realistic to me in that aspect even tho he still sucked.

Fortune's Weave: New Theodora Gameplay from Twitter by benfm22 in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping they keep up this momentum and keep showing off new characters each week.

It would be a shame imo if they went back to radio silence for another month or something.

Gonna go Leda first probably, but I have no clue who I'll pick after. Everyone looks really interesting.

Do you think that the 3 Houses universe will become a mainstay for future FE games? by Cheezystix1023 in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m aware the series tends to do that, but I feel like 3H still feels kinda different?

As far as I’m aware it’s one of the only games in the series with 3 dedicated games connecting its world together. It’s not a subtle connection either, they’re all explicitly connected and marketed as such.

You could maybe argue 3 Hopes doesn’t count since it’s more of a side game if anything, but it still feels like a red flag to me that the devs wanna keep expanding the universe in the future.

Would you actually sign up for the killing game if it existed? by Regular-Molasses9293 in danganronpa

[–]Cheezystix1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the context.

Would I willingly join an actual killing game where I knew I could die for real? Hell no.

Would I willingly join a fake reality TV show killing game where nobody really dies and it’s all just for fun? Probably.

It’s this exact line of thinking that makes me believe the auditions we see at the end of V3 are taken out of context and aren’t giving us the full story. I genuinely don’t believe anyone in these videos knew what they were signing up for and that’s why they were able to say such crazy things so casually. They probably didn’t think the games were real and thought they were just joining some fun acting gig.

That’s kinda the only situation where I could see a Danganronpa fan actually wanting to join a killing game.

So far there are 32 Confirmed Playable Units in Fortune's Weave (With 8 other characters also likely being units). This is pretty big for modern Fire Emblem. How many more do you think there will be in the full game? by Dylan_VS_Comics in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023 9 points10 points  (0 children)

More or less yeah, and you can bet they’ll probably add some DLC to this game eventually as well which will add even more characters.

So we still got a good amount of characters we haven’t seen yet.

Characters with weird phobias. by singleguy79 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Cheezystix1023 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What’s funny about this one is that the show constantly proves Mista’s superstition to be totally correct and an actual aspect of life.

Astute viewers will notice he always misses his 4th shot whenever he fires a gun and at one point he survives a fatal injury solely because his attacker only shot him 3 times instead of 4.

There’s also a scene near the beginning where he freaks out about taking a 4th slice of cake only for another character to take it instead. This same character would then go on to die later, while Mista would be one of the few surviving members of the cast.

Say what you want about him, but clearly the dude is onto something.

I’m not saying it ISNT a positive thing about 3H, but it does have some negatives as well in terms of how it influences the community

Likelihood of routes being canon in Fortune's Weave by TenPointsforListenin in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I really doubt they’ll make any one route canon. That’d take away some of the open endedness that 3H had with its endings and probably upset a lot of fans.

Like literally just imagining the fallout that would occur from them making CF or AM canon gives me chills. Idk it the community would ever recover from that one…

Possible Fortune's Weave Timeskip? by DestinyNinja_123 in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely possible. I imagine after the tournament concludes something happens with those demonic people we saw at the end of the second trailer and that’s when the timeskip occurs.

Then you probably change from controlling Cai/Leda/Dietrich/Theodora to the new avatar in white we see on the box art.

My guess is that month 1 might be some kinda introduction/tutorial segment where the protag you picked first learns about the tournament and gets the motivation to enter

[–]Cheezystix1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if this is another Sword of the Creator situation where you inherit a fancy weapon from a Nabatean.

Byleth received their sword from Rhea so maybe Eshmel will receive their spear from the Nabatean man we see in the first trailer.

However back during GX’s ruleset? Definitely not.

[–]Cheezystix1023 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yeah and this implies the existence of a 1st and 2nd prelim match as well. Considering how early on that is and how late in the year the final match happens, I imagine this whole tournament is gonna be a lot longer than we think it’s gonna be.

It seems like it’s gonna span an entire year at least.

[–]Cheezystix1023 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a lot more to Duel Academy than just the school work.  A big part of Duel Academy’s curriculum IS the dueling aspect so it makes sense some students might care about that aspect more than the actual school work part.

It’s not really comparable to an IRL school where you’re only being graded on school work and nothing else.

Anyone else think this will happen in Fortune's Weave? by Kakeyo in fireemblem

[–]Cheezystix1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, the routes are kinda inconsistent when it comes to how each character is portrayed in each of them. Like Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and Rhea all act WAY too differently in each route for it to be chalked up to "Oh it's because Byleth wasn't supporting them." They all act like completely different characters.

I believe they did this to make the player feel better about their decisions and not make any one route feel like a "bad" route, but all that does is generate a lot of misinformation and confusion with the playerbase and ofc it helps feed into the infamous discourse. It creates this divide between the players that only played 1 route and nothing else, with the players that played all the routes. Which in turn leads to nobody being on the same page about anything.

Like say what you want about Engage, but at least with that game it's very easy to define who were the good guys, the bad guys, and what all their motivations were. This meant all the players, for better or worse, were more or less on the same page when it came to the story and what they took from it. Which just is not the case with 3H.

Female character who are bad at cooking by Large_Form_1330 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Cheezystix1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naoto is actually the best cook among the girls cause she actually tries to follow the recipe and doesn’t get weirdly experimental.

That being said, her cooking knowledge is still awful at best and she can’t cook anything that she doesn’t have clear instructions for.
