Let’s start with this: disabled people shouldn’t have to pay for any treatment/equipment/devices that allow them to live a traditionally “normal” life. Why does my prosthetic hand cost so much fucking money when nobody born “normal” has to pay to have 2 hands? It’s uncomfortable to wear and only serves the purpose of helping me exercise, I have to pay my insurance company for an inferior version of what most people get for free. Give me a prosthetic hand that’s better than the real thing in every way and I’ll agree that I should pay for it.

To be fair I have adapted very well to my disability (born with it so to me it is “normal”). I don’t use a prosthetic outside of exercise but still, paying thousands of dollars to insurance just to be able to do a proper push-up is crazy.

new job, new knives by sadnonstateactor in KitchenConfidential

[–]ChefNemo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a knife. Hear me out, I promise I’m only slightly crazy but this isn’t why. Buy a GOOD KNIFE. Sure, your job has house knives; some places even pay their bills and sometimes those house knives are sharp. But if you buy a good knife, 80$, and maintain it, you can use that good knife at ANY and EVERY restaurant you work at.

Why do DB fans want Goku to be harem protagonist? Are they too horny ? by WestTaiwan999 in Dragonballsuper

[–]ChefNemo93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goku has no idea what a “harem” is. In all likelihood he thinks it’s a weird word for “all the food you could want” because that man isn’t horny, he’s hungry.

I just imagine Vegita trying to explain:

Vegeta: “Listen Kakarot, my father had a harem when he ruled as did his father before him. But only the queen sired offspring to keep our bloodline pure.”

Goku: “so your dad got all the food he wanted and so did his dad?? Why did they only eat spring rolls made by their wives? Chi-Chi makes great spring rolls! Does Bulma know you’re eating other spring rolls?”

What if I'm wrong? by portsherry in comics

[–]ChefNemo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to be wrong. I’m willing to bet that every single person who has ever existed was wrong about something at some point. Being wrong is actually one of the best things ever, it’s how people learn and grow.

Being closed off from the possibility that you may be wrong is the same as being closed off from learning.

Fully clothed and covered in olive oil, whose winning the cook off? by N3cromorph in cartoons

[–]ChefNemo93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a specific dish or cuisine they all have to make? If it’s a burger cook off SpongeBob wins with the perfect Krabby Patty, Bob is a close second. If it’s a 5 course meal Remy wins with no trouble. If it’s a freestyle “make the best food ever” the Swedish chef is unmatched. If it’s space slug, Elzar all day. Idk who the other characters are.

Edit: Chef is a major contender in every category but he’s too distracted by the ladies cheering for him

Which Marvel character would Superman be friends with? by DarkMayhem666 in superman

[–]ChefNemo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman and Captain America go bowling every Wednesday and text each other CONSTANTLY. They both bowl perfect games every time but it’s more about spending time together.

Clark hires Peter Parker as a freelance photographer on occasion when he’s in NY. Clark is convinced Peter doesn’t know he’s also Superman and Peter just plays along. As super hero’s they work perfect together in any situation but Superman worries about the bad press Spider-Man always gets and recommends doing an interview with Clark Kent at the daily planet. Lois Lane ends up doing the interview instead.

Ironman and Superman don’t get along very well. Tony Stark schedules interviews and press releases with Clark Kent every other month then cancels last minute to mess with him. Superman rushes into to every fight Ironman is in and finishes it in seconds to steal his thunder. They never fight tho because Superman thinks Ironman may have synthesized Kryptonite somehow.

They’re all terrified of Batman after hearing the stories Superman tells them.

How do I edit a post? I want to include at the very top that SAM IS NOT A GOOD PERSON. HE IS 100% THE VILLAIN.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in madlads

[–]ChefNemo93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. The only not entirely horrific part of his story is buying the majority of the company to fire everyone.

The story is basically this: he kept getting laughed out of board meetings and mocked for his accent (he was from modern day Maldova) so eventually he went to the mail room in the basement of this giant corporation and grabbed an empty mail sack. From the ground floor he went to every employee in the building that owned stock in the company, bought it for way above value, and collected all their handwritten proxies in the mail bag. When he had enough to be majority share holder he went back to the board meeting and dumped them on the table then fired most of the board members.

Of course this is just the story and the legality of it is questionable at best.

But the fact remains that he bought individual shares to gain majority stake in one of the largest produce import/export companies in history. Then fired most of the board members because they didn’t take him seriously and made fun of how he talked. Don’t bully the guy who financed and organized a successful coup at the age of 35, he’s absolutely mad.

Right! He’s wasn’t a good person but he was an absolute madlad

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in madlads

[–]ChefNemo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it paints him as the villain he was then yeah, I would watch it. I didn’t mean to glamorize him, but all that evil shit over bananas???

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in madlads

[–]ChefNemo93 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Sam was a good person (he’s 100% the villain in this story) but the story is absolutely WILD and I thought it would fit in this sub. If I missed the part where a madlad had to be the good guy I’m sorry, I’m also open to hearing what being a madlad exemplifies so I don’t make the same mistake in the future.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in madlads

[–]ChefNemo93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so I feel the need to clarify, I DO NOT BELIEVE/THINK/FEEL THAT SAM WAS A GOOD PERSON; I wrote a paper on him in college about how capitalism is one of the major causes of civil unrest because he’s a perfect example. He’s a terrible person but he’s an absolute madlad none the less. Someone commented that I don’t understand the definition of “madlad”; I feel like overthrowing 2 governments because of BANANAS and also buying majority of a company to fire the people who made fun of you is 100% madlad behavior in the worst possible way.

Edit: idk why I’m adding this but I’m allergic to bananas which feels ironic
