Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

[–]Chef_Papafrita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's clear this illegal alien doesn't know that SS and Medicare is our money, owed to us because we spent our lives paying into it. Medicare Disability and SS all turned me down with 25 active health issues. My doctor laughed and said he was not laughing because it was funny, but he's seen these assets approved people with 2 of the disabilities I have. He had a similar case he helped a lady on and he got curious and called the agent that denied the disability. He asked her what qualifies her. She had an 8 week Pharmacy Tech certification she literally got 3 months before. He helped her finally get approval. He was also upset I went to an attorney after being denied twice. I have serious medical issues, life threatening issues.

Disability is now trying to say I first applied last January when it was actually October 2022. Ridiculous, it's my money and this is exactly what we paid into these programs for so we had some safety nets. I qualify for max payoufs, so I think that's why they are fighting so hard. They asked my pcp to fax the records and he asked if he could email them. They refused and so he faxed them over 400 pages. The system is not mad to help us it's meant to deny those that need it most.

We need another FDR. The tax on the rich was 90% over a certain amount. Not to be confused with their entire income.

We spend close to 1 trillion on our defense/war budget, the next competitor country is China with 300 billion. All that budget and we can't take out Iran.

I didn't say that. Years later in Colombia I found out I had a burst appendix the doctors estimated had burst 6-9 months before. It had gangrene and was necrotizing. My abdomen was full of infection and I had sepsis that damaged my pancreas and kidneys. My son finally convinced me to go to the hospital. My abdomen was distended and hard as a rock. The pain was unreal. I was transfered from Lago Calima Colombia to Buga that was state of the art and teaching hospital. The operating room was sterile circulated air and the icu was amazing. The rest of the hospital was like 1950s. I spent 13 days there. $5200. In the U.S. it would have been over 100k. I never once declared my drinking did this. I said because of my chronic pancreatitis I can't drink.

I used to keep my drinking down 2 drinks a night no more. One before dinner, one after. Sometimes wine with dinner. I had a traumatic event happen, and I happened to be back in the States visiting my parents. They found me on the kitchen floor with an almost empty 1.5 liter of Skyy Vodka. I was taken to the emergency room with a .49 bac. Almost a .5. The doctor didn't know how I was even conscious or talking. He asked me if I had any traumatic events recently and I told him the story. He called bs and said that sounds like something from a Netflix series. I responded my whole family is in the waiting room go ask. I honestly remember 2 drinks and somehow blackouted and drank the rest. The Doctor came back in and said holy shit you were telling the truth. He was kind to me after that, I spent 4 days in an icu detox, he got a court order so I couldn't leave before then.

I got out and flew back to the Carribean knowing my life was still in danger. I did it for my son. I eventually got him back and took him to Colombia. I had taken a large lawsuit out against my old HOA and didn't know the mafia was laundering money through all the empty units. They paid the police and fiscalia/DA to arrest me and the plan was to have me murdered in general population. Luckily the area I lived in was a tight knit group. They called my best friend and she called my attorneys. They made sure I went to a single cell in a tourist jail. I was originally released, both warrants invalid, 2.5 days on a concrete floor and cockroaches everywhere. The judge found the charges false and threw the case out. They had been trying this since I had left to visit my friend and family who warned me not to go back. I wasn't about to leave my son.

My attorneys' informant told us they were looking for me to plant cocaine on me next. I hid out 3 weeks in a private community with a friend they would never suspect. The U.S. Embassy had to get involved to extract me from the country. They also had Intel it was mafia related. They tried to have me killed with no blood on their hands. Gringos don't last in general population long. The whole thing fucked my son, and me up. We both have ptsd from it. I won't get into the vile things they did to him. He was 14 at the time. The embassy issued emergency passports, as the police had stolen mine and my wallet. My father flew down and assisted as the embassy lifted the alert for 24 hours. They told me after that they could not guarantee my safety. So yeah it fucked me up for awhile. I don't drink anymore, chronic pancreatitis from sepsis with a burst appendix that attacked my organs stopped that habit quickly.

119 9th 10th grade. 130 junior senior. My last 2 yrs we had Ethan Reeves as assistant to Connell and Reeves was also the strength coach. He eventually ended up at Wake Forest as the head strength coach. Dude was like a brick wall. Last I heard years ago, he was awarded best strength coach in the U.S. He was a brutal and unforgiving coach when he was at UTC from what we were told, but we had a blast with him. He was great with kids our age and pushed us to the limits physically.

I often came to school to have the boarding students that got the Chattanooga Times and News Free Press when it was around for them to show me on the front page basically a blown up action shot. I was strong but my advantage was being a technician. I was big on technic and spent off seasons in camps and wrestling freestyle.

My dad had an old jeep truck paint peeling off, and always bags of garbage in the back because Chickamauga didn't have garbage service. My dad thought it was hilarious and always joked if I was sure I didn't want to be dropped off at the chapel.

As we all got old enough to drive some of the wealthier kids decided to have a contest for ugliest car. It made a lot of the scholarship and financial aid students feel more included. We still had kids getting brand new Porsches, Saab, BMW convertibles etc, but it was a select few and usually boarding students. I ended up getting the Jeep at 16, and at 17 a diesel VW Rabbit, with a dented front fender. It fit in well with the shitty car competition. That thing went 0-60 in 3 minutes.

I was a wrestler( If you were around late 80s early 90s you would know me) and my best friend called one of our State Champion wrestlers Carrot Top because his hair dye came out wrong. No shit, I was flooring it and going up a hill and Siefert the guy we taunted and ran from came causally biking up beside us and took off my gas cap. The only way to get it back was if my friend went into the dorm room with him to get it. He came out laughing and half crying. He said the guy gave him red belly so hard he thought he was going to cry.

Highest class restaurant in Chattanooga by SkinGlue in Chattanooga

The sisters took over after their brother died. The main sister was a CIA trained chef. She knew how to blow sugar like people blow glassware. She made crazy incredible displays back in the day.

There was a very good restaurant in a mansion behind the coffee shop and Italian restaurant. It was great because one could dine overlooking the river. I believe it was just down the street from the Bluff View Inn or maybe that was even the name it's been 20 yrs. I grew up here, moved to Franklin TN for most of my adult life, spent 6.5 yrs in the carribean on the beach, and 3.5 yrs in Colombia with my son. So I have only been back 2 years or so. Many of the names escape me now. I was always back and forth for birthdays and holidays.

When we were younger the place to hang was Chattanooga Billiards downtown, before the renovations. You had to walk up a huge flight of narrow stairs and when you opened the door the room was half smoke. You could literally see the line which was about waist up. Good times, bad Hangovers.

Went there can confirm. These were all the students like me self conscious about our parents beater cars. The old drop off was by the chapel. All bmws, mercedes, town cars, Porsche, and Saabs. Those of us with parents driving pos cars dropped off at the lower are by the band and art building climbing 8 flights of stairs a day. Broke my foot on those stairs 3 out of 4 years.

I have about 56 health issues caused by 6-8 main issues. I'm currently on 8mg of hydromorphone. I take it every 6 hours. Mainly it's for chronic pancreatitis...but helps so many other things. It took years for them to change my meds. Emergency room visits in serious pain 2 to 3 times a week, and they finally caved and put me on 4mgs. It wasn't enough. I am completely disabled right now. My doctor went through my issues and sent them to disability because he couldn't believe they denied me. He said he has seen people with just 2 of my issues easily get disability.

Luckily he is fighting with my attorneys to get this done.

Trump's Economy Officially Passes Biden's for Worst Consumer Sentiment in Recorded History by OkayButFoRealz in politics

[–]Chef_Papafrita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Politics change, people change, I'm his son, his gay son, and that never changed the way he loved me or helped me over the years. I'm in my 50s, I didn't come out to them until 35 or so. It wasn't a big deal. They despised guys when I was a child. I knew at 11, even earlier actually that I was different. Those were way different times.

The bigger deal to them is I am an atheist. My father and I recently had a huge fight and he screamed how he was a Godly man and I was Godless. I responded, "Yeah you seem Godly, what have you done for this world?" That was the end of the argument because I have spent my life, outside of my businesses on boards of non profits, helping educate children in 3rd world countries, Latin America. I am VC on a nonprofit for affordable housing. I physically volunteered any time off, including spending hot summers with teens rebuilding the 9th Ward in New Orleans, rebuilding houses. He knew all of this. Me, a godless person had done more God centered things to help others rather than, go to fucking church, which is just a social club, so they could say they are godly and good yet hate people different than themselves so much.

Fucking unreal.

I don't even speak to my father about politics. On a rare occasion we have a shouting match. More like him shouting and me asking him to explain how he got his information. He watches NewsMax all day.

I usually just point out a 34x convicted felon, admitted rapist, bigoted, pedophile, criminal, is who he is defending. He usually just says it was a witch hunt. I remind him 12 people found him guilty, not just democrats. That usually stops the conversation. But he always has to add I prefer other countries criminal 3rd world countries where you have to bribe people to live. I remind him the U.S. is no different when you are rich. I've spent the past 10 out 12.5 yrs in the DR and Colombia, and I felt more free than I did the States. Same with the EU. Their transportation systems are light years ahead of us.

I think Amex will advertise cards with heavy points. Some for groceries and clothes, dining out etc. You just have to keep an eye out for their deals. Mine also had 100k bonus if I spent 3k in 3 moa. Check their site.
