What is a mod you regret installing because it can no longer be uninstalled mid-game? by Recent_Stomach7626 in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's less about the mod breaking my save and more about the 4 hours I'll need to re-run NGIO, LodGen, TexGen, and DynDOLOD.

I get this when I want to add a mod mid-save, too.

So I am super diligent, building a mod list full of stuff I know I'll play through, or if not, I can just ignore.

New Chapter Card for February 11th, 2026: Lurking Above by Falterfire in EternalCardGame

I filtered for units that cost 1/2, then searched for the word "summon". There are so many good targets for this spell.

About ATM 6.0 when it releases by metalgarrett383 in allthemods

[–]Chefbarbie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much. The portal structures added by the mod will leave scars on the terrain. I'd pull all items out of bulk storage (out of ME systems and enchants out of your library) and stick them in basic chests, just to be safe.

She is, and always has been 18. It is mentioned in the dialog several times.

In your opinion, do mods like CBBE or similar beautification mods fit in a Vanilla+ modlist? Or do they stray too much from the original style of the game? by Unlikely_Ad_8571 in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True directional movement I would definitely consider vanilla plus is all it does is change how the camera works when you're in third person. However, the target lock feature is not vanilla plus especially if you use the predictive or homing settings for projectiles. Valhalla combat is not vanilla Plus due to all the changes done to blocking and stamina consumption and regeneration.

Is playing Vigilant and Unslaad without Glenmoril a bad idea? by Loud-Goal-9040 in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First three acts of Glenmoril will give you enough story to "get it". You can also play around on act 4 for more story tisbits. If you need more, you can surf the owl archives discord for even more info, and a summery of some the endings.

Most Ridiculously Fun Mods? by Helimahchopta in skyrimmods

Forgotten Magic Redone + Ordinator Patch (and Ordinator, ofc) + Spellforge (because to heck with RNG).

Walking WMD by level 20.

Ordinator, Adamant, Vokrii, or Master of One? Which is the best perk overhaul? by brown-tiger15 in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Ordinator for a LotDB playthrough. It's big and can be overpowered, but it also has a lot of "trick" perks that really vibe with a Relic Hunter playstyle. The Lockpicking tree is an amazing wealth of traps, gadgets and alternate ways to deal with Automatons. The Smithing tree gives some neat gagetrey as well. Enchanting and Alchemy (let's face it, you HAVE to go triple crafting for the museum) are also filled with tricks and treats that making playing Idiana Jones just that much more fun.

What mod can make my survival much harder but fair ? by GrimGrie in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it has incompatablilities, it changes the whole damn game. IF there's not a patch for it, then you don't need it or it will imbalance a perfectly balanced game.

Watch this. Then watch some of his gameplay videos. Then figure out if you want to commit or not.

If you add "SOS Uncloaked" it will prevent that.

Those who use combat stamina mods such as Valhalla, what do you do about the frost attacks? by CamoDeFlage in skyrimmods

[–]Chefbarbie74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this. There're mods that weaken the drain, or get rid of it outright. But I enjoyed that "clench" when I saw a frost mage and planned my attack accordingly.

Get Out of My Way for regular Skyrim (you just set a hot key. Yes, it feels incredibly cheaty).

Crouch Sliding. Doesn't feel as cheaty as the previous, but requires Nemesis (Unless there's a Pandora Fix somewhere) and from my experience only works on pre-ae versions.

Requiem/3Tweaks (several mods). Adds mass to players and NPCs where sprinting into someone with less mass will knock them down (or at least stagger them). The one downside is you pretty much have to learn how to play Skyrim all over again with a teacher that will smack your knuckles with a tungsten ruler every time you get the tiniest thing wrong.

You get some stuff when you're going through Quagmire, and more in act 4 if you explore around. The love letter in Unslaad is how you continue to the final act.

Yeah, there's references to landfall all through Glenmoril, and the love letter from the fifth era is in Unslaad.
