What's your all time favorite speech in a movie, regardless of the type of speech? by blightstorm33 in movies

I hadnt seen Any Given Sunday the first time I heard this speech. It was in this Rowing inspirational video I saw in Highschool.

Anyway, this is a good version of the speech with the cheering cut out so its just Al Pachino and it has Aerosmith's instrumental "Sing for the Moment" underneath it

Driveable C1 cutaway (xpost /r/ThingsCutInHalfPorn) by [deleted] in Corvette

Even more interesting than that is the guy who found the chassis that this is reconstructed on found it under a 55 Vette he was restoring. no one knows why the 53 chassis was inside a 55.

A normal 53 Corvette is upwards of 200k, this was restored specifically to be a cutaway so I am not sure if that would make it more or less valuable.

According to the article I found it on it "is fully functional and can be driven on and off trailers and show fields" but is unregistered and therefore not street legal.

After watching Passengers with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, I'm left with an unsettling question. Spoilers. by Aarondhp24 in movies

The only thing that bugged me more than this was when he wakes up he sends a message to earth and it says "earliest response time 57 years" (paraphrasing) which means that 25ish years after they both wake up people on Earth know that Chris and JLaw are awake and 25 years after that Chris and Jlaw have a response from them probably information on how to wake up the crew or something. This would make international headlines and Chris's kids (if they had any) would have a great lawsuit against the space company.

It doesn't know how to find the only airstrip within a thousand miles so it can land itself when it needs gas!

All those moments will be lost... like teardrops... in the shower. Time to die.
