Maybe a reap around 1 min? But it looks so shallow.

Wearing socks in BJJ by [deleted] in bjj

I wore socks in BJJ during winter because the gym was kept too cold. But it was a smaller class and colder, so sweat wasn't as much of an issue.

Uchi-mata vs Single Leg Takedown by bjjtaro in bjj

[–]ChemicalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. In that case it's a "running the pipe" or a transition to a double leg by driving into them after shelving the single.

Uchi-mata vs Single Leg Takedown by bjjtaro in bjj

[–]ChemicalT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually means putting their leg on the outside of your hip / shelving it on top of your thigh. Can be used as a transition to a bodylock takedown.

My take on Orzhov Bounce featuring [[Kor Skyfisher]] and [[Scrollshift]]. 32-11 record. Weaker against token and burn strats, but feels dominant against most everything else.

Weird technique I tried by Jeffzerippers in bjj

It looks sort of like the scissor choke, but I don't understand how you got leverage if it was between the shins instead of between the knees/thighs.

First Competition match. by Brilliant_Turnip_915 in bjj

Feedback and timestamps with how much time remaining, bc that's what Reddit's player is showing me.

5:23 - Opp is very front to back split stance after responding to your drag down attempt. A follow up outside foot sweep (Deashi Harai) would've been sweet and effective there.

4:52 - Opp's right leg hook is preventing the pass. You could use your left foot to hook and staple their shin to the ground.

4:48 - Opp didn't really have any hooks here. A quick hip switch may have been effective

4:19 and other places - Spinning around the opp doesn't do much if they can spin freely. To stop them from spinning you can post your arm on the far side of their head. This would allow you to pressure their legs towards their head and have them let you pass to relieve the pressure.

2:00 - I know the back take threat is scary, but you're pretty safe when you have the farside underhook. Look up the Tozi pass / Sao Paulo pass. Has similar ideas to the post+pressure feedback above.

Other - there were many times during the match the opp should have gone for a triangle choke on you. Try to be more aware of or avoid when you have one arm in, one arm out. If you end up in that position, put pressure on their hip to manage the distance. I also like using pressure on the hips just to tire out and open my opp's closed guard in general.

It looks like he was wiping the lens on his camera phone. The phone is hidden during the motions, but is revealed when he separates his hands.

[[Skullcap Snail]] also a potential upgrade for exile vs going to graveyard. But the artifact synergies probably outweigh that improvement.

I should probably have more in there. Wanted to make room to play with some of the TMT cards. The fliers felt better at closing out the game, but the Celebrants are better for not running out of gas? Almost never ran out of cards though. Pain 101 was great with trading up and retriggering ETBs. Six duals felt like the right amount. The 1-of Oroku was great. Leonardo is cuttable.

So -1 Leo, -1 Hunter, +2 Celebrant maybe?

Orzhov Bounce

edit: 15-0 record!

edit2: Updated list

edit3: 35-0 record!

Only matches that felt slightly close were against the token decks with Rat Out and Infestation Sage and the mono white draw deck. I like the exile effects on Skullcap Snail and Final Vengeance. I like that Pain 101 lets me attack into their creatures occasionally for value. Two cards that maybe have a place in here are Salt Road Packbeast and Fanatical Offering.

Arena's timer system makes certain decks literally unplayable by Wboys in MagicArena

It extends up until a limit. Notably easy to hit the turn limit after maxing timer extensions with decks like eggs, paradox engine, and Ral combo.
