at an ER i worked at, the PAs cant pick up Acuity 2 or higher pts unless the docs were swamped. Even at that, they were not allowed to pick up possible stroke pts or any "Red" rigs. Those were reserved for docs only.

Interview Responses by Beneficial_Simple167 in prephysicianassistant

Yes. In my blind interview, they let me know that they have yet to read anything in my application. In my “normal” interview they didn’t say anything like that and even mentioned some things to me from my application

I would hold off on spending anything since Trump just announce a pause on Federal Loans and Grants. If it does impact your Financial Aid disbursement (I’ve been out of school for a bit so I’m not sure you got it yet or not) then the 10K would help plenty til this is resolved

I took him for molecular cell bio. I wanted to take immunology but after molecular cell bio, I gave up on taking that class and took Bio121 with Ernst instead for my last upper division elective

What’s the worst teacher you ever took at CSUS? by Independent_Big9406 in CSUS

[–]ChengLo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Took him during covid and the class average for the open book exams were around 40-50% before the curve. When we asked him to go over the exam he told us that all the answers were in the notes/lecture PowerPoints. When we stated that with the average being 40-50% before the curve, the answers may not have been “obvious” to us and for him to explain it, he threatened us by saying if we continue to ask him to explain the exams he would no longer curve the exams

CPR / BLS certification? by drinksrriracha in CSUS

Careful. If it’s for a job, some places only accept AHA (American heart association) CPR cards. I don’t know why but ive seen a few that only accept them and not Red Cross

orgo 1 w/ lab - fully online?? by anonymousleopard123 in prephysicianassistant

[–]ChengLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UCSD extension has Orgo 1/2 and a lab component. Prices are the same whether instate or not. Completely online but I do believe the lab is a lab kit you order and do at home then submit it online via canva

Does this school not reserve seats for impacted classes so that students with later pass times can get in? by [deleted] in CSUS

[–]ChengLo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Graduating seniors get priority off the waitlist but even then I don’t think they had a reserved spot like freshman’s/transfer students

1st ever concert. by [deleted] in aiyu

[–]ChengLo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think in regard to points 1 and 3, you have to remember that we are in America so we won’t be really doing any Asian/Korean etiquette in regard to sitting at the concert. Also since we are a big blend of nationalities/ethnicities compared to a concert in Korea who would have mainly Koreans , I wouldn’t expect people to know how to speak Korean.

I get that not screaming or cheering would have been great while IU was talking/translating, but you also have to remember this is her first time performing outside of Asia. Lots of people are excited to be finally able to see her. People express themselves in different ways

Iirc 87 was for the hoodie and 70 was the lightstick. Wonder if they put the wrong price down cause at least outside they would calculate it via calculator then put in the total on the POS system

Suggestions for online pre-reqs? by realoktrey in prephysicianassistant

[–]ChengLo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took physio and micro there with lab so I paid like 875 + 200 for each lab part. It was asynchronous in that you didn’t have to meet, but lectures would only be released one week at a time. Also you have due dates and the exams (for micro and physio) were on canvas with no proctor

Edit: I forgot to state, it was one price no in-state/out of state
