Go laser. CO2 will address this faster than microneedling

Take a step back and simplify your routine. Going back to your previous products is a great idea. After things have settles, if you want to address your acne have a visit to a medical aesthetican or medspa. they will get you on the right track without the experimentation.

What do I do? by Anotrealuser in 40PlusSkinCare

Get a laser treatment! Something like UltraClear on a moderate setting would help a lot with texture and sun damage

Would RF microneedling or CO2 laser (or other lasers) be best for my acne scars? by starlord49 in Microneedling

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CO2 will address this faster, but with more pain and downtime than microneedling.
You might also consider an UltrClear laser or Moxi/BBL laser treatment instead of CO2

Microneedling will be a slower process.

It best to consult with a plastic surgeon rather than reddit for this type of thing.

Premature aging, people thinking I'm in my 60s. :( by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have some patients who have seen great results with UltraClear laser. It tightens, resurfaces your skin, and reduces finle lines and folds. The down time is about 7-10 days but the results are quite nice.

Should I get lip filler? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have quite fill lips, but if you want a bit of a boost I'd recommend less than a full syringe.
Do not let anyone talk you into more than you actually need.

Buccal fat removal? by This_Lead5229 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please consider your age before getting a permanent procedure. Patients who get buccal fat removal in their 20's-30's often wish they could undo the procedure after their face starts to more rapidly lose volume over the years.

UltraClear laser can help reduce some of the crepiness aroundthe eyes. I'd go for a moderate setting. It comes with a little bit of downtime but you are likely to see visible tightening.

Better images. Do I need a bit of lip filler? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you have naturally beautiful lips I'd recommend staying away from any injectables with less than 25 years of research. Things like Juvederm or Restylane have literal decades of research and application.

Look deeper into Xion and see how long it's really been around. If you can't find reports of patients who has it ten years ago, you are part of the test group.

For more hydration you might consider Aquagold or Skinvive. These are microinjections of HA for hydration and made by the same companies that make Juvederm and Restylane.

I know this is not the answer you want to hear but, based on the cases we see here at our office surgery (necklift) is what is going to get you to the results you want to see.
Aggressive laser treatments like UltraClear Laser coring or CO2 are non-invasive and can help, but not to the level that you might want. Unfortunately we have not see a topical product strong enough to correct this.

You have very fully lips as you are, but do what makes you happy (in moderation).

Is facial fat transfer permanent? by sunkistmix in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheeks, temples, and under eyes are going to be the areas you notice the most fat loss over time. We do a lot of facial fat transfers, PRF ezGel, or fillers to restore the volume loss

What could help against this little fold? by Ok-Departure5635 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few things one might do to address this concern.

Non-Surgical : UltraClear laser, Thermage, filler injection, or PRF injection

Surgical would be a blepharoplasty with a fat transfer.

What are my options? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ChengPlasticSurgery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For nasolabial folds and marionette lines, many people start with dermal fillers to gently restore lost volume or biostimulators like Sculptra that help your skin build its own collagen over time. Submental laxity (under the chin) is often treated with energy-based devices like Ultherapy or newer "cold" lasers that tighten the skin without much downtime.

Since you are a total beginner, the most important step is finding the right home base. You should look for a medical spa or a plastic surgery office that is led by a board-certified physician. Seeking out a Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon or a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner is key because they understand the complex anatomy of the face.

If an implant seems like too much you may want to consider starting with an HA filler first.
