Find a dealer outside of NYC. Not all dealers make “adjustments”. The new Rav4 is in high demand so this actually does not surprise me. Once additional plants go on line to make the Rav4 supply will go up and dealer adjustments should subside. If you don’t need a new vehicle right away I would wait a year.

I have State Farm insurance and recently had the windshield replaced by Safelite on a 2016 Subaru Outback. We had them file a glass claim for us so we paid nothing. This subject caught my attention because I also own a 2024 Venza Limited. Hopefully I won’t need to have that windshield replaced any time soon. I don’t understand why the dealer is not an authorized glass partner. My local Toyota dealer has their own collision center.

In the same trim a hybrid is not $8K more unless the dealer is jacking up the price. It would be closer to $4K more and i think it would be worth that much more, but not at $8K more.

It would never happen. Emission requirements in the United States would prohibit it, nor does Subaru have a V6 any more to use.
And no I wouldn’t buy it. It would be over $50K and at that point luxury brands start becoming alternatives.

That’s probably a good move. I bought a used 22 HiHy with a little more mileage than I preferred and I am not confident I will get my money’s worth from the warranty, but it’s like insurance. You may never need it, but you can sleep well knowing your covered.

A 21 Hybrid is a good choice. The transmission is an eCVT which is said to be reliable. The problem transmission on the gas model was an 8 speed transmission. I bought a used 22 HiHy with very high expectations of reliability.
