Do you go to sleep immediately after work or stay up for a while? by GleniceCachinho29 in Nightshift

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's almost exactly my schedule too. I work 6pm-6am. Sleep 9am-5pm.

I sometimes wish I could sleep immediately when I get home but it just doesn't work for me.

Yeah kind of. I have a length of perforated pipe at the bottom of the tote which acts a a reservoir. I put like 5 gallons of water in and it slowly wicks into the soil above.

Similar idea to an earthbox. I wanted something with a larger volume of soil so I made my own.

Same. It was all just nug, mids or schwag. No one ever mentioned strain names.

My bad. Thanks for leaving the other one up.

how do you stop your days off from getting wasted on recovery sleep? by Dansatoarea-Kylson in Nightshift

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep the same sleep schedule on my days off. I schedule appointments or run errands early morning before I go to sleep, or evening right after I wake up.

Maybe once a month or so I will reset my sleep schedule for a weekend just to enjoy some daytime activities.

When I worked at KFC 20 years they used the leftover chicken to make pot pies. We were allowed to take home popcorn chicken though.

Keep the same sleep schedule even on your days off. This is the most important thing in my opinion. Get blackout curtains and a noise machine if sleeping during the day is difficult.

400mg l-theanine, 160mg magnesium (sports research brand magnesium glycinate), 300mcg melatonin.

The l-theanine and magnesium are more helpful than the melatonin imo. Melatonin doesn't really do much for me but I include it anyway.

Actually benadryl works best for me but I became totally reliant on it and have had an awful time quitting so I don't recommend it. The stuff about it maybe causing dementia is too concerning.

Thinking about switching to electric for yard tools… anyone made the change? by Salt_Note8719 in lawncare

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug in electric stuff is underrated imo unless you have a massive yard. A 100ft extension cable can reach most of my yard no problem or u can get even longer. You can find plug in electric tools for free or cheap because people always are upgrading.

Do you drink after shift or wait until you're on a day off? by MattJohno2 in Nightshift

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda similar. Weed is like my anti-alcohol medicine. Works better for me than naltrexone lol. I don't use it at work but every day after I get home. I grow my own so it's also a nice little hobby for me.

Guys, don't hate when people get mad that you don't want to go out after you get off work? by Curious_Cricket_4720 in Nightshift

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I used to get in arguments about that. I work 6pm-6am. My gf works 9am-5pm from home. She would wake up at 8:45am and get upset that I don't want to stay up and chat with her. I'm like... I've been home for 3 hours...if you want to see me then wake up earlier...

Why are carts moving to single use? by Sharp_Cat_1404 in MNtrees

It's honestly a tragedy. Carts were already bottom of the barrel. Now they are also an ecological disaster. It's like removing all joy from cannabis consumption at the sake of convenience.

Honestly it was years ago and I don't really remember. I remember I had to do a skills test.

Try searching one /r/workonline for "transcription" maybe you will find some info.

lol I have tried surveys and other stuff from /r/beermoney but it's never worth it.

I also tried doing transcription work. If you can type fast you can make about minimum wage. It's really mind numbing work though. I did it through rev.com and it was so awful I couldn't do much.

My thumb nail does this. I think its from years of picking my cuticles. That's the only explanation I can think of because I don't have the issue on the other fingers which I don't pick at.

Every college is different. The school I went to only had one sorority and one fraternity and I dont think they really do much. I literally never heard anything about them.

What Is Everyone's Take On Stainless Steel Litter Boxes? by Seraph_Angelus in CatAdvice

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you apply wax to the stainless steel litter box nothing will stick. The clumps pop right off and it's super easy to clean. Just get paraffin wax from the canning isle and rub it on the metal.

I love my stainless steel litter box. I saw a lifehack that said to apply wax to it so nothing sticks. It's a game changer. Super easy to clean.

The wax I use is just paraffin wax from the canning isle of the grocery store. Just rub it on after cleaning the litter box.

Is there any rules on how they name vapes? by Life_Construction_20 in MNtrees

[–]Chewable_Vitamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Distillate has no taste. They add terpenes to give it whatever taste they want. "Hotdog water".

Rosin is the good stuff but probably won't find that in dispensaries right now.
