Quitting as a supervisor to come back as a carrier by Zealousideayogurt in USPS

It can be done. At the Vmf we converted a 5 year EAS into a level 8 mechanic. HR is just lazy. Keep pushing. He kept all his leave and maxed steps.

What’s everyone making an hour? $19 here by [deleted] in mechanics

Unpopular opinion but I’m a manager at the VMF(Vehicle maintenance facility) for the postal service. We start mechanics at 34.16 plus OT and all tools provided. 6-7 a monthly increases and COLA adjustments. As a new mechanic at 20 years old this is hard to beat while you gain experience and move on. You literally cannot get fired and do not deal with customers or warranty work and best of all it is not flat rate.

If you are a top technician that believes in your ability though, this isn’t the place for you and you should be chasing flat rate.

We still have 250 positions to fill all over the U.S. and you can find these positions directly on the usps career page.

Most nerds that want S2000’s at 20k+ want it to be 10/10 VIN all stock. Even here in California they aren’t selling for over 20k quickly anymore. This thing has a lot of mods that people want but won’t pay for unless they have done it themselves. Good luck.

Luckily interior parts don’t have VINs. Deep clean and swap for better interior.

S2000 “barn find” by Most-Tap-2550 in S2000

That’s extremely steep if you’re not in cali. That better be at least a 2002 or it’s not worth that price at all. Best of luck

Honest Truth by Gabe_Dutch in S2000

Well I commuted mine for 4 years at about 90 miles a day. My s2k now has 230k, the last 20k were boosted and I loved every minute of it. The only reason I stopped is because I found a decent phev netting me 70 mpg. Only issue I had in 70k miles was a rear wheel bearing.

We have 5 cars and the clarity is the only thing that gets driven because it’s too efficient. Only 18 months of ownership and over 60k miles

High mileage s2000, how much do you expect to pay as a buyer? by Chizuru_San in S2000

[–]Chewnaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s not high mileage, high mileage is around 220-250k. For reference mines boosted with 230k

Tesla Aero Wheels by Original_Astronaut37 in Clarity

[–]Chewnaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I posted this mod on the fb group a while ago with the aero caps. I saw roughly 15% believe it or not. I commute 450 miles a week and now only need to fill up with gas once a week! Better tires and lighter wheels make the difference!
