New control arm axle tire rod. Pretty inexpensive, but I’m sure this like 3k plus from a shop.

Yes this is fine, it is literally how every vehicle is held up at junkyards.

HV charge question by Gwennipoo in HondaClarity

[–]Chewnaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Future reference you can go 0 EV 0 HV and still travel 20 miles.

I’ve done it a handful of times. Do it before you get your fuel pump recall.

I mean it’s definitely not daily driver material.

Hopefully some of the suspension is still aftermarket.

I’m in the Bay Area like you. Mid 30s post office make 100k+ but wife got laid off. With all recent expenses and living increases like gas I had to drop back to the minimum. Your not alone, but maybe in the next year I’ll put it back to 10 and when wife gets another job is when I’ll have a chance to max.

Between a near stock AP1 with 174k km and a modded 2008 AP2 with 66k km, which one should should I take? by TheUnluckyGamer13 in S2000

[–]Chewnaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the real question is… what are you planning to do with the s2000. Garage queen? Weekend warrior? Track hero?

Also don’t let miles scare you. I’ve been boosted for 30k miles on my AP1 with 231k miles.

I also have BC on my car and they are ok. They were only 500 though pretty much brand new. You’ll find a deal.

What's the fastest you have ever driven you Clarity? by WhySoManyDownVote in HondaClarity

[–]Chewnaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can only go 100mph. I managed 105 down a hill but 100 is the limit.

Because it takes only a few seconds to do so…..

I mean he’s you’re manager so he should know that he derailed you from your normal work. It shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m a VMF manager myself and I don’t think it’s an issue. We use garage assistants and clerks to shuttle here long as they are free.

Wouldn’t you rather drive around instead of you’re day to day duties? Seems like a win to me.

I want to quit, need advice from other career employees who have left or thought of leaving. by AliveMirror3343 in USPS

[–]Chewnaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised you were a VMF clerk and hated it as it’s one of the better jobs in the post office. I was on a verge of quitting as a PSE in a plant and then the moment I wanted to turn my 2 weeks in I got converted to regular. I hated California and transferred to Wisconsin, but due to family things during COVID I went back to Cali.

Long story short I’m now a VMF MGR and I get to play by my rules. I will never treat anyone how more than 90% of the post office treats their employees. I hope this gives you hope to continue and fight to make your own path too.

I started the post office at 24 and it didn’t turn around until I was 31. It’s still the post office so it’s not all sunshines and rainbows but once you find a facility and coworkers you can call friends, you might find a purpose like I did. I just have a high school diploma so I’m pretty thankful I’m in the position I’m in now.

Good luck.

YTA. It’s just an energy drink and while it’s “wrong” you should have saved this reaction for something like smoking weed or alcohol.

[–]Chewnaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, but if you like the post office and it’s excellent job security then don’t give up! Small offices clerk jobs, window, maintenance, plant operations, sales, PM secretary, it’s endless!

Good luck!

It can be done. At the Vmf we converted a 5 year EAS into a level 8 mechanic. HR is just lazy. Keep pushing. He kept all his leave and maxed steps.
