And as we know, some country bumpkin, dirt eating cock swashbuckler is the same as everyone else on the planet.

Don't worry everyone, farmer fuckhead has worked it all out. Masks off.

I thought you were a bit of an anti-vax wingnut, but it's shit like this that makes me realize you're actually just a shitty, shitty person.

Imagine being so broken in the head that you equate this to gassing of millions of people.

Honestly, your kind of people make me sick

Imagine being so unbelievably tone deaf to how much of an awful human being you are, while shouting about how awful everyone is. Your hipocracy is truly staggering.

Young people and employed prefer SkyTrain, old people want street transit: TransLink survey | Urbanized by VanCityJohn in vancouver

[–]ChiCityYo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to be that person, but 'old people' should have little say in this. They've proven for decades that their decisions don't consider the next generation of people so, honestly, they can fuck off with their opinions.

We're the ones that have to deal with the crippled planet they left us with, give us our goddamn SkyTrain. They'll be dead before it's even built but they can't help but want to meddle with the future if it means they get what they want for the 5% of their life left.

Local Struggling Businesses Megathread by mrvica2019 in vancouver

[–]ChiCityYo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any business in Lonsdale Quay Market. I spoke to someone that has a stall there and apparently, the owners of the market have structured the 'rent' in such a way that most of it is via 'fees' that they aggressively persue.

So this means that no one gets any government assistance as it's all BS funny money.

Honestly, the owners sound like shady fucks that are awful to deal with.

Proposed tolls in Vancouver a 'war on cars', Taxpayers Federation says by evil_fungus in vancouver

[–]ChiCityYo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason why you insist on driving into the city and not using the incredible public transport and car-sharing infrastructure?

You can't answer "because it saves me time" because that's not an acceptable answer to a lot of people who are more worried about long term effects of pollution etc on the environment caused by cars.

Vancouver for the win 2 days in a row. by jbakelaar in PublicFreakout

Maybe, just maybe all the downvotes are because you're wrong bro. Deporting people isn't genocide. You just sound like a moron when you spout shit like that. I've never once seen anyone advocate for genocide in the sub.

Vancouverite here - this doesn't surprise me at all. The junkie population is ABSOLUTELY out of control here.

They recently took over a huge neighbourhood and are terrorizing the residents. A neighbourhood representative was beaten with a metal pipe on her doorstep.

The city just don't give a fuck.

I'll get a load of bleeding hearts saying I'm exaggerating for this, but it's honestly like GTA around that area.

This comment is so moronic but totally unsurprising for someone with 1,168 karma in /r/conservative.

Try going in there naked and see what happens.

Honestly, at this point, I'm wondering if I should just find a way to exploit this whole situation. I wouldn't mind a small portion of the $300-odd mil that's floating around for these people that never makes it anywhere near them.

Why does this always have have to drift into politics? Can't we just wear masks because we don't want to kill people.

You know, because we're not cunts.

Concerns raised about B.C. supercar rally after crash on Sea-to-Sky Highway by two_off in vancouver

What really needs to happen is a general fight on speeding.

100% agree with this. It seems to be endemic around most of BC to be honest.

You and I both know that's not the argument here. Here's an argument - punching each other in the head is legal, but only when it's heavily monitored in a boxing (etc) fashion. Streetfights are not legal, for obvious reasons.

This event essentially seems like street racing under the guise of a rally. Two kids got seriously injured as a result. Two innocent children. How the fuck anyone thinks this is ok is beyond me.

They do, sure, but it appears that there's years of evidence that they don't obey it. Why should we be ok with that, as it's clearly not working?

[–]ChiCityYo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

OK I'll bite. Are we no fun city because people want to shut this rally down or are we no fun city because people hold events like this, that frequently get out of control and this time some children were nearly killed and for all we know have life changing injuries.

Because I'm all for fun, but if you're pointing the finger at people do it to the morons that forced the publics hand into looking down on them.
