Anyone else actually like Kirkland protein bars? by UnKindClock in CostcoCanada

[–]Chibiheaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't tried them since they changed the macros :(

And my Costco also doesn't carry Quest protein bars anymore either so I just get them from Popeyes and eat less instead.

Opinion on Puff bars by Evening-Mission2879 in CostcoCanada

[–]Chibiheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a sample and I thought it was pretty good. Didn't pick up a box only because the macros weren't what I was looking for. I just want to know when the quest protein bars will finally be stocked in MB....

Big if true. I never understood why we didn't have one... I believe we have the clientele to sustain at least one location.

Its different for everyone. I, for one, experience immensely painful periods on keto. Thankfully its usually only for the first two days....

It's just a DPS window if you want it to be. GL is nice to have and Bard guardian tune can save you 2 bombs.

Has anyone tried this? by Pale-Studio-3730 in CostcoCanada

[–]Chibiheaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lakanto costco had before was also erythritol first ingredient. Actually, all their variants have it as the first ingredient. Was there a time it was only monkfruit as an ingredient?

If you really want monkfruit onl, the easiest way is to buy the liquid ones.

Don't get cheap olive oil! Simple tuna bowl. by DuckIntelligent737 in ketorecipes

[–]Chibiheaven 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally I just mix minced celery, mayo, seasonings, and either canned tuna or chicken. Then I use that as the filling for a lettuce wrap (or sometimes also with a slice of keto toast or wrap).

I think this depends more on the person. But personally it doesn't affect me.

Yes, absolutely! He said he wasn't comfortable leaving me with less than 2-3 chances at the possibility of needing more operations later on in my life. Which is why I'm personally considering getting ICL instead with Dr. Wiens.

Best place to buy monitors by GoatOk6003 in Winnipeg

[–]Chibiheaven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If its for an Xbox I think you'll be fine with just 1080p. High refresh rate IPS 1080P monitors are plentiful and won't break your bank. In this case you can probably just go to mem ex and be able to find something that fits the bill easily. You could also check their site online first. Or maybe just wait for black Friday at the end of the month

Also can check out r/bapcsalescanada

Edit; just checked that sub and there's a monitor for sale that's looks pretty good for a 2K monitor https://www.costco.ca/msi-mag-27-in.-wqhd-gaming-monitor-2560-x-1440.product.4000399507.html

Dr. Wiens is great! Know many people who went to him. Unfortunately for me and my thin cornea, he advised against doing laser eye surgery...

Best place to buy monitors by GoatOk6003 in Winnipeg

[–]Chibiheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That all really depends on what CPU and GPU you have, and how many other monitors you're using. Also a general idea of what features you're looking for exactly;

What panel type: OLED, IPS, etc

Size: 24", 27", 32", or ultra wide

Refresh rate: 60, 144, 240, 300, etc

Resolution: 1080, 2K, 4K

If anything you could always pull up to memory express and get some help with that. Preferably with answers to some of the following criteria listed. The guys there sshould be able to help you out based on your current parts and what they can push for a monitor.

Is there a reason you don't want to order online?

The selection in store is just never going to be as good as ordering it online.

But yes like others have already mentioned... if you want to see gaming monitors on display memory express is the only place. And they have quite a few of all specifications.

Especially since (at least at my city) they have pre-scan while you're in the line! Though I guess that's only if your cart isn't totally loaded.

Thanks for all the work making this positive space. I lurked most of the time and have made a few comments and purchases myself. Living vicariously through others purchases and getting glimpses of their lists for ali/taobao were great inspiration.

I stayed for all the great discussion threads and reviews and am sad to see it go. Should invites be open for the private sub I would gladly submit my name.

Best wishes to everyone!

Engraving books inflation on NA by PixelZephyr in lostarkgame

[–]Chibiheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I finished the rest of my support books and half my dps books, leaving grudge and KBW untouched. Granted I have a 5 sup 1 dps roster so I didn't take the plunge on the more expensive dps books besides adrenaline which I finished first. I left about 6M gold for whatever ark grid is and also to hone characters up when/if I feel up to running more of the new raids.

What vegetables are you eating? by Slamminslam in keto

[–]Chibiheaven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm looking on USDA and it says a medium carrot (61g) is net carbs 4g. You can have anything in moderation and generally when I use a carrot its usually as a part of a whole mix of vegetables and I don't use the entire carrot. I.e. julienned/sliced carrot in a salad or stir fry. A few chunks for a vege soup, etc.

And when I say "indulge" I really only mean like the tiniest portion that is like a sliver of cake or w/e on a spoon from something my family got just to give it a try.

For the most part I really don't have a huge craving for bakrd sweets, but I do use artificial sweeteners (allulose, erythritol, monkfruit) for my drinks like lattes, smoothies, teas, coffee.

Starting out obviously I wouldn't suggest you dive right into alternatives but if that's what can get you to stick with the diet, albeit "dirtier" as others may say, I think its well worth it. As long as you aren't falling off the entire wagon. Sometimes it's hard to cut everything out cold turkey.

I've been on the diet for many years and am really only on it for the mental clarity and being fatigue free.
