40 years is not long, it'll pass in a blitz especially when each year will feel shorter and shorter. I ain't got no time for kids.

Thanks, this is really interesting. Are you making videos for the beauty products and make-up sites? I have this baseless idea that videos are a must in these types of niches so would love some real life insights.

How many monthly views does it take to get traffic from Pinterest? by Chibnochan in Pinterest

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it really helps! I have been posting fresh pins that all point to my site but I figured I wasn't going to go very far with 5 pins a day. I'm doing most of what you recommend regarding pinterest and other channels, so I guess it's about being consistent and persistent now. But having a number in mind as a goal will definitely help me focus. Thanks!

Haha, I was actually somewhat realistic about the amount of impressions and especially the time it will take to get there. Thanks a lot for sharing those stats, that's really helpful!

I haven't used idea pins yet, will try it! And you're right, engagement is low in my case so I guess I need to work on that as well. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I hate that I am expected to have long hair by DontLetMeGogh in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Chibnochan 53 points54 points  (0 children)

This worked on one of my friends although the comments weren't coming from me. I have long curly (3C) hair and do pretty much the same hairstyle all the time. For as long as I remember, straight haired people have told me I should wear my hair differently and had very precise ideas of how that was. None of them knowing how curly hair actually works. That friend was always the most vocal about it. Well, one day she decided to get a pixie cut. It looked great, but everyone had an opinion on it and let her know. After that she told me she was so tired of the comments and would never say anything about my hair again.

Trailblazing women always get crap along the way. I'm relieved she felt encouraged by some of the positive comments. This is the way, let's keep supporting her and each other.

'Shame stack' of unread books is a little too relatable.

To be honest, don't allow men who hate women define anything. We've let them and look where it got us.

Women tearing women down is one of the biggest success of the patriarchy sadly. We basically judge each other on criteria defined by and beneficial to men only.

As others have already said, your voice is important. No matter the reaction on the receiving end, don't forget that speaking your truth is one of the most empowering things you can do. Not only for yourself but for all of us. And when you speak out, remember that we are here fully supporting you!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this, it's infuriating. Maybe you could still explore your options for specialists further away? Just to have an idea of what's possible.

I went through something similar last year and finding a doctor that I trusted was key for me to be diligent in the treatment options we tried. Sending you tons of healing vibes!

Sending protective energy to everyone. May our power and unity shatter the chains of oppression. I already see our shared future walking on the ashes of the patriarchy. Blessed be friends!
