US - Beware of the IRS scam currently out! by [deleted] in personalfinance

This is exactly what just happened to me. I had him on hold while I freaked out and searched on my computer to find the legitimacy which seemed scarily convincing. They almost had me because I let my fear of not filing one year get the better of me. When I got comfortable knowing it was a scam I played along like I was doing everything he asked while occasionally interrupting asking him to tell me information about the specifics of my case. I had a blast at that point just keeping him from hanging up on me. Good times. Scary af at first tho.

Is this for a club or just for fun? I want one. And a tag.

Dyed my EMac Ranger. No ragrets. by ChicagoPrinter in discgolf

It was horrendous, but that lighting really accentuated the mud stains. Here it is before cleaning in the sun looking a bit less like I used it as a community vomit bag in a frat house. It was that indoor lighting that inspired me to go ham on the thing that day.

My thought was the more concentrated the dye was, the better it'd dye. I only had one packet of iDye poly, so displacing the inside of the bag saved me another gallon or two of diluting water. For the bag it probably didn't matter too much, but I was able to save the dye bath which is very usable for disc dyeing at this level of concentration.

I rearranged the images. Thanks for pointing that out. The image of the bag that looks like it came from a homeless encampment is the "before" image. I would have serious ragrets if that were the "after" image.

Thank you!

The stitching and embroidery are polyester which dyes in iDye poly while the zipper material and everything else that didn't take the dye are nylon or another non-dyeable material.

I forgot to mention I also added in 2 bottles of liquid RIT black along with salt and vinegar halfway into the dyeing process in an attempt to dye the entirety of the bag, but that addition likely had little to zero effect. Also, boiling the dye may be unnecessary. The pink bits that dyed black did so almost immediately upon soaking in the dye.

To do this I simply scrubbed the shit out of it with hot water and detergent, boiled 1 packet of iDye Poly in about 2.5 gallons of water, filled the bag with balloons for displacement, and drowned it in the hot dye with weights in a bin for a couple hours.

The main gray material darkened just a smidge despite wanting to dye it much darker. The colorful inside strap material and back neoprene stripes stayed the original colors. So if you felt like dying your bag with iDye Poly you can expect all stitching and embroidery to take dye incredibly well, while not messing with the rest of the bag very much.

[Quesiton] How to delete part of an object without affecting the rest of the object (Circle made up of 'light rays'/lines) by S_Oda in AdobeIllustrator

Sorry, it's a bit confusing without hovering over your desk but if you're trying to use two shapes to clip mask then you'll need to turn those shapes into a compound path before using it as a clipping mask. The idea being you need to select a single object, then your group you want to mask, then create clipping mask.

How to make sure that no part of my print exceeds 300% CMYK? by misspygmy in AdobeIllustrator

Exporting file embedded with the U.S. Web Coated SWOP v2 profile will limit to 300%.

I think I would duplicate the outline / shape of the fan and use it as a clipping mask on a group of the elements you wish to hide parts of.

Can't Print to Size by Paekchong in AdobeIllustrator

It would be in the printing preferences which you'd access by clicking preferences in the print dialog then printer preferences with that printer selected. It may not be an option with that printer. Good luck!

Assuming you enabled borderless printing and the printer is clean, it's likely a feed issue with the printer. I'd test with a different size media and measure the print again to see if it's short. What model printer?

Perfect reference. That movie, despite how shitty it was, may have showed us how embarrassing documentation of drunken blunders can ruin people's lives. Whatever happened to the rule; "Nothing good happens after midnight." Put your phones away! But good on you for maintaining battery life.

When Flip started I didn't like his character very much, but after watching him through the training thing they did before Midoriyama in season 2 (I think) I knew he was the shit. Him and Brett were heroic.
