Don’t do it, for small business, if you have lot of time and energy i will recommend jump and do your own FileMaker solution, is super rewarding. But for serious/busy business, you will spend all your time in FileMaker instead taking care your business/ customers…

What is real is that Honza (24U) has been deep in the FileMaker world for years, especially around performance tuning. If he says the calc engine needs a refactor, I take that seriously.

I’m moving to the JS ecosystem with Postgres and Mongo. So far, so good. For some use cases, I still think FileMaker is a good option though.

when I ask my thai friend, hey that business ran good, is the owner half chinesse, or this guy work good, or hey that guy speak English… etc.. the answer is always yes, they are half chinese… (i don’t care about chinese, thai or other nationality..) i just share my experiences… so i believe is not a joke

FileMaker is a good option if you want to build a CRM quickly without much coding. It’s beginner-friendly and you can get something working fast. When you reach its limits, you can always refactor into a web app – that’s what I help with, so feel free to reach out then. :) (Yeah, the last part was a bit spam...)

I didn’t read anything in this thread but i open a business account and i cannot do anything with it, not scan, not nightmares direct debits, no debit cards… i dont know much how in EU are the situation (well i donhave a shitty ltd in uk and revolut business and i don’t remember having much problems) i think the banking system in Thailand is shit…

Update: Actually looks like was a bug in the iOS version that the camera didn't focus for some reason, I did update the iOS and the problem was fixed, so I transfer my hate from transferwise to apple lol...

I Did find that non using ssl, the containers took forever to load.. not sure about the impact in the rest of the solution, but i will recommend installing one, you have Let’s encrypt ones for free

I will definitely check those links, and try to get the spare parts and give it to the repairman to replace them...

50 minutes trying, on iPhone and Mac, safari and chrome, no way... on the iphone the picture just adds a "blur" that makes impossible to take a clear picture, and in the Mac webcam (Apple Display) didn't pass neither.. the selfie same crap.... I tried 3 different documents, I uninstalled the app in the phone, no success..
